I was texting a brother last night saying we really should root for LSU every once in a while. If we get too greedy and have too much fun watching them lose, they are just gonna fire the guy; and then there would be less fun to be had.

Word is there's a discussion to dismiss Kelly at LSU.  I wouldn't doubt that.

Well, there's that. Kelly was admired in South Bend. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Not sure when these coaches will learn. Same thing happened to Rich Rodriguez. Cigneti sure as hell won't succumb to that.

It's a rough world out there. Every university thinks they are entitled to a Curt Cignetti. Oh well, I guess it's just IU's turn to dominate the sport. They'll be a household name and the benchmark to follow in a few short years. Every coach in the nation knows they are on thin ice because of what this guy has done.

If it feels like fewer and fewer flags are being thrown in college football games this year, specifically in the Big Ten it’s because they are.

Really don’t have a problem with it as long as you’re consistent it’s all good.  

Either call everything or call nothing.

Out of 136 FBS schools, here are where Big Ten teams stand in terms of penalties called per game against their opponents…

Before NIL there was this belief that Notre Dame could not compete with the big boys of the SEC due to admission standards.  Hell, Kelly even said it on the way out.

That’s no longer the case and it’s no coincidence that now that NIL is in place, the Big Ten has won the last two titles (and is in position to possibly win a 3rd in 2026).

The money cannon has leveled the playing field.

And yet, admission standards have not been lowered, and graduation rates have not suffered. #1 Reason? Marcus Freeman.

I have been saying this for the last 2 years. The SEC hasn’t played for a title since NIL, closest they have gotten is the semi-finals
