tango Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Looks like John Harrell has updated his tournament projections page. I don't believe I've ever seen two teams this closely projected. SECTIONAL 32 SECT REGN SEMI STATE Gibson Southern 38.91% 32.46% 23.35% 18.41% Evansville Memorial 36.87% 30.54% 21.70% 16.96% Evansville Mater Dei 20.07% 13.35% 6.80% 4.08% Southridge 4.15% 1.91% .60% .23% Quote
tango Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Top 20 games this Friday from the Indy Star. Rarely do you see a game outside the Indy-area get top billing... 1: Evansville Memorial (9-0) at Gibson Southern (9-1), Class 3A Sectional 32 No. 1 vs. No. 2. Junior Luke Brown (1,608 passing yards, 20 TDs) and senior Dylen Kendrick (699 rushing yards, 12 TDs) and Maxx Anslinger (38 catches, 507 yards, eight TDs) lead the offense for Evansville Memorial. The defense is led by senior Brady Combs (62 tackles, 15 ½ tackles for loss). No. 2 Gibson Southern has a standout senior quarterback in Zach Foster (1,759 passing yards, 26 TDs; 847 rushing yards, seven TDs). These teams have not met since the 2018 sectional. Quote

They were neck and neck all the way until the championship game. Unsure what the the percentages were post Sectional play. Edited October 28, 2025 by TigerFan20 Quote

I think its going to be the same way in this one, but GS will probably be the ones to run away with it. Don't have a dog in this fight, but I do have a couple of pennies in my pocket so here's my 2 cents, GS by 2 scores. Quote
Titan32 Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Unlike seemly every school in the EVSC, one thing Memorial won't have to worry about is some annoying sound guy (or whatever the proper term would be) attempting to play some sort of stupid music up to the point of snap. Seems to be a "thing" down there. 1 Quote

I think that was the score, Central jumped out in the 2H to tie the game and then Memorial scored the last 24 points of the game. Might have been one of the coldest games I have attended. 1 Quote
tango Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Just saw that KO is set for 7pm!! That will be a nice change of pace from what we're used to with the asinine EVSC-mandated 6:30 KO time we have to use. Quote

I haven’t seen the Memorial stream pop up yet on the IHSAAtv website. I think it’s being streamed this Friday, since they have done all the games since 2022. 1 Quote
Titan32 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Memorial has paid the fee.....so they should have the stream. 2 Quote
Titan32 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 I asked AI to adjust the GS Sagarin for their 2 out of state games using Massey data and Heritage Hills as an addition data point for the adjustment. Got a whole point!!! Quote

Yes, the Tiger Sports Network will stream the game. Despite having to pay a fee to GS, there is still no charge to watch. Link to be posted. 2 1 Quote

Titan32 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 I felt like channeling my inner STC! Roses are red, Violets are blue, When the Tigers get punched in the mouth — Will they know what to do? The Titan O-line’s stronger, Been forged in the fight, They’ll move that front backward Under Friday-night light. The Titan D-line’s meaner, Built tough through and through, They’ll live in your backfield Like rent’s overdue. Our QB’s calm under pressure, Our RB runs true, You can stack up your box — He’ll still rumble right through. Now credit the Tigers — Their back half and linebackers are real, They fly to the football And they know how to seal. But here comes the question — The one they all knew: This is just the second running QB They’ve faced all season through. And we all still remember, How that last game went down... A scrambling nightmare That left Blue and White on the ground. So roses are red, Violets are blue, The Titans are coming — And they know what to do. 💪⚡ Quote

Got a whole point!!! Can you ask the AI to calculate Memorials true Massey Rating? For some reason it thinks Memorial is 15-4 and has them rated 66 in the state instead of in the 20's or 30's with GS and HH. I'm guessing it doesn't know Memorial and Reitz are different schools. 1 Quote
