And how did Notre Dame look yesterday?

Not relevant in the slightest. Are they or are they not one of the best twelve teams in the country? How did they look their previous ten games?

So “looking bad” in a game that your 9 game conference schedule rewarded you with is worse than sitting on your ass?

If you get your ass handed to you in that game? Yep
Ask Virginia that same question

You still have to consider the competition, no?

They got curb stomped. Who wants to see this again? No one. But who's left? James Madison who lost to Louisville by two touchdowns? BYU who also got curb stomped? Give em another chance I guess.

I’ve always liked how college basketball advocates for the little guy and gives them a chance, but does anyone seriously believe that James Madison and Tulane can win it all?

Could they shock folks and win one game?  Sure.

Also, Notre Dame beat FIVE bowl eligible teams…FIVE.

Transitive property seems to be important. Not my rules. Not my fault all the computer ratings have Notre Dame as a Top 5 team. Objective people love Notre Dame, as the committee said, eye test is important. Tell me, if it came down to Notre Dame and Alabama, who are you taking?

You sure do love the computer rankings when it fits your narrative huh?

Head to head I’ll take ND right now but I still think you are over inflating them for beating up on a a handful of below average teams.

Wasted five bowl eligible teams. Eye test, not my rule.

Of course, who doesn't? All kidding aside, how many times are you going to ask me to explain my position on Sagarin? Not doing it again. Ask @Rodney, at least he pays attention.

Bowl eligibility is not something to boast about in modern day college football, lol.

If you can’t get to 6 wins (5 in some cases) you’re terrible.

You're reaching and I'm not sure why. You know Notre Dame is good. I think you're just in the mood for a Sunday morning debate.

Always but you have blinders on.

You see flaws in every program but your own.

Temp’s proposal…

Big Ten example:

East: Maryland, Rutgers, Penn State, Ohio State, ACC team

Midwest: Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Northwestern, ACC team

Plains: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Purdue, Illinois

West: Nebraska, USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon

First four ACC teams I’d call would be Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Louisville.

I have no issues with that. Notre Dame wants to keep their independence in football and I'm in no position to question them. Again, they love their independent brand. Always have. Anyone who thinks it's because they are dodging a late season game is just showing their ignorance. I love the Big Ten Your proposal wouldn't hurt my feelings at all.

Blinders? What are you even talking about? Is Notre Dame worthy of the playoff or not? Our viewers want to know. You can just keep it a simple yes or no if you'd like, actually what I'd prefer.

Alabama scored 7 more points…

Also gave up 28 more. Not a good look for their defense.

Especially when 6-6 B12 team immediately says NO THANKS, how much does these game mean again?   Every player is going to eventually need to be paid X amount by X bowl game to choose to play in said game, that will be the next big step imo

In this, wouldn't PU/IU need to be in same REGION to protect the RIVAL?

Nah, you get 1 protected rival in another division.

I'm not sure the graphic on Fox last night was correct.  It stated that Notre Dame was 1-2 against the top 25.  Both Pitt and USC either finished in the top 25 or were in the top 25 when the Irish played them.  I know for sure that Pitt was like 23 when they played Notre Dame.

It doesn't bother me a bit that fans love Notre Dame or hate Notre Dame.  There's not much, or any, middle ground.  It was apparent in the Fox panel chatter after the game last night and it's apparent on this thread.  We can all love or hate 'em as much as we like, but it's up to the folks in "the room" to place 'em or not.  And as far as Irish fans being arrogant,  I find that laughable.  All you have to do is watch the Paul Finebaum show on any given day to hear some real team arrogance.

I used all my emoticons after midnight, I guess.  But I have one last thing to say here, GO IRISH!!!!   Whether it be in the CFP or a nice bowl game in warm weather, it doesn't matter that much to this Irish fan!  I'll be watchin' and tootin'!  And I'll be rootin' for the Hoosiers too!

Vegas has ND 5.5 favored ON THE ROAD.....    as the last team IN the playoff

Miami and ACC will be going scorched EARTH

And of course 3 LOSS BAMA

Or not.

Notre Dame’s AD better be on the phone with a conference commissioner right now.

Nah....makes them more defiant. The change needs to happen with the Group of 5 guarantees. Tulane and James Madison have no business in this thing.

Keep that arrogance.  It seemed to work well this afternoon.

ND would’ve been playing in the ACC title game last night and could’ve controlled their own destiny.
