Like the clown, I too believe this will be a 3 score game, but MD having their QB back is huge.  But still--3 scores.  I have said it once and will continue--GS wins state.  Memorial is down, Chatard out.  Recipe complete.  PAC wins state back to back!

Well- that is back when they (MD) were getting their (GS) best players ....since the Hart-era began, that isn't happening anymore

Think it is more Hart. 
 

His impact on that program is amazing.  Never won a sectional prior to his arrival.  Won regional in year 1!

 

Kind of shows that there may have been something there that was not being tapped into.

Well sure ...and success breeds success and thus, some "names" that might have traveled over to MD in years prior have stuck around, or heck, even joined up from Evansville and surrounding areas.

Yep.   I believe it was the year that GS won state they had two senior starting OL transfer from Castle.

Mallory was injured during the Jasper game I think and played again last week.  How do they give up 49 points to North...can they not stop a good run game?

North was the first game post Mallory injury - and I think there was a little shell-shock there going on...and that's a pretty funky offense to defend the first time seeing it. 

Reitz the offense again couldn't get out of their own way

Mallory seemed to give them a jolt of energy last week - but again, I don't see them being able to slow down the Titans.

Agreed...but as far as I know Mallory wasn't defending the run pre North.

North only runs in their games, and having a big OL helps in that department. They barely throw the ball too, maybe 7-8 attempts per game.

I haven’t seen what happened during the MD-North game, so I’m unsure how that game went. But it looked like North ran for almost 300 yards that night and topped it off with 4 rushing TDs. Just looking at the stats, besides North and Reitz (175 yards), they have done a pretty nice job defending against the run.

Looking at that way, yea, I can see them struggling against GS run game if it gets going early on. Since we didn’t have an answer against you guys in the 2nd half. I think MD have a couple of 2-way players in the trenches. Having their QB back is huge for them, but I think GS gets 1 game closer to Lucas Oil after tomorrow night.
