South scored on a one-yard run with nine seconds left in the half. Two-point conversion try was good. However, South allowed New Albany to run the kickoff back 77 yds for a TD with no time left on the clock.

South's Che Hogue has 133 yards on 13 carries and three TDs so far. New Albany, which ran all over South in the playoffs last season has been held in check on the ground by South's totally rebuilt defense player-wise.
