Hoping the Highlanders can pull it off tonight! Going to be really tough! It would undoubtedly be the biggest win in the history of that program.

I'm expecting a close game, and I fully expect the Highlanders to be pumped up when they get off the bus. It's expected to be 60 degrees in Bloomington at game time and not much wind, with no precipitation expected. The Panthers have gotten off to slow starts in their two sectional games, while turning it on in the 4th qtr. They can't be playing with fire by continuing to do that.

I agree with you. Wish I would've been able to get up there for that. I'm happy with the program Floyd Central is building down here. Coach Bragg is doing a good job.

South taking control of the game. Floyd Central with special teams mistakes and turnovers. Cant do that on the road.

I tell you what. It must be nice to play every tournament game at home. What a stupid rule change.

The Highlanders were their own worst enemy in the first half. A turnover on downs in South territory, a muffed punt, and a pick pretty much got them in their situation at the half. Both teams were hit by penalties, but FC seems to be hurt more by them. South's secondary gave up some chunk plays which is something they did in the both sectional games, but FC managed just the one TD in the half. I don't know if FC has been this mistake prone in previous games, but they sure were hurt by them.

I really don't wanna make excuses because people will come on here and give me a bunch of shit about it. But that Floyd Central team is starting mostly juniors. I think they'll look a lot different in these big games next season.

Special Teams shifted the momentum. Same thing happened at Whiteland. Same exact thing.

I assume the two-point conversion on the second half TD was to put this game in a running clock situation to shorten the game. It helps to prevent any injuries to starters with a semi-state game coming up. At least, that's my  opinion.

Oh yeah. I didn't see this coming. They were fired up to go up there and had a great week of practice.

You were talking about FC being a young team. South is just the opposite with a lot of senior starters that will not be back after this season.

I wouldn't say "young." But they return 32 Seniors next year. They got whipped tonight. My goal for this season was a HHC Championship and Sectional Championship. Mission accomplished. Time to get back to work.

Can’t turn the ball over at home either. Matter of fact, probably not a good idea to do that against good teams nor in big games.

You’ll be happy to know Bloomington South will be at New Palestine next week. Every year, there’s at least one team in the state that is able to play an overwhelming majority of postseason games at home. In 2013, East hosted a sectional semifinal against Greenwood, a sectional championship against Shelbyville, a regional championship against Jasper, and a semistate championship against New Palestine. The only two games they didn’t host were a 1st round sectional game against Madison and, obviously, the state championship against Fort Wayne Dwenger. The point is, whether it’s the new format or the old one, somebody is able to benefit like this.

Every Regional game we've ever played in, has been on the road. It's ridiculous. With an overwhelming number of Juniors coming back, hopefully we get back to Regionals next season and it's a home game finally.

Glad you accomplished YOUR goals. That’s what is most important after all…

The team sure did accomplish what the community was hoping for. Actually some of the players have text and DM'd me thanking me for my continued support. Coach Bragg gave me a hug after the Sectional Championship and thanked me for my support. So yeah, as much as my family has done for Floyd Central over the years, I will always be a supporter. You're about as wise as P. Finebaum. That's for sure.

Then you go on to make excuses, and wonder, predictably, why people blow you shit.

We've played in 14 regionals under Coach May-- we have hosted-- 3.

Can’t tell you how many times over the years I’ve had a free Friday night during the postseason with plans to watch Brownstown only to find out their game is away every single time. Wanted to go last night but it was in Linton. Wanted to go next week but it’s in Lapel. Lame.

It’s not that bad, I’d go up 9.
I do remember the 2001 game with MD was at Brownstown. Not nearly as good of a game as the 2000 game at The Reitz Bowl was.
