Hard pass.

Agreed.

I think the Bears need to can Poles and bring in a new GM too.

Poles lack of OL attention is troubling.

I think most would agree the Bears need to hire an offensive minded HC.

Per Schefter on Chicago radio yesterday, the McCaskey's prefer Poles is given free reign on who to hire. Most, I included, assumed Warren marked his territory in December and was running point on the hiring process. This would eliminate the idea of pairing a new HC and a new GM together if Schefter is correct. Not sure how that would impact the decision of someone like Ben Johnson.

Ben Johnson will be selective to where he goes because he has such a good thing going with Detroit

Issues with Ben Johnson and Joe Brady is you went down this path already with Matt Nagy, upstart OC, coming from Offensive juggernaut Chiefs....yup, he didn't bring Chiefs OL, WR or this guy at QB, but he did go to the playoffs 2 times, so there is that I guess......

Johnson has an elite OL with some awesome playmakers and Culture inside the building that was changed by an Alpha standing in front of the room.

Brady has resume that stacks with anyone without HC credentials......Burrow LSU Champion, Allen, Bills, Dominating , but again, how long did it take Allen to become Allen and does Joe Brady stand in front of the room and command it?

Leads me down to Mike Vrabel, fell out of love with new ownership in Tennessee, then been on sidelines.....Pats Nation are pissed that Kraft didn't get him, but instead Mayo, he would command the room, he would demand, but who runs O?

Pete Carroll, been there with John Fox, nah

It's LYING SEASON upon us here in the NFL, who falls for clicks for cash schemes out there by the Agents working the puppet strings??

ESPN 1000 this morning said Bears are interviewing Mike Vrabel this week, got permission to interview Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn as well as Thomas Brown next week along with Anthony Weaver. That’s just what I heard on the way in, out of those names Ben Johnson and Mike Vrabel are the ones that excite me the most but got to think they go with an offensive guy that will benefit Caleb in the long run.

Nagy and Aaron Glenn being mentioned in New Orleans.  Can’t believe someone wants another go round with club dub.

McMarthy would be better than last 4 guys they hired, just sayin,

Vrabel is being tied with Tommy Rees as OC in New England according to my source in Boston who follows along quite a bit

Kaftka would be personally GREAT for me, a very good friend is very friendly with Coach Kaftka....oh yeah.....that would be clutch, oh that reminds me, @temptation, you be a good boy in 2025, I know the DL coach who just finished year 1 in Michigan this past year, former SJC HC, I maybe able to get you a few blades of grass from THE BIG HOUSE for your collection of Wolverine swag. 🙂

I still trust Poles, I understand the magnitude of each move in the NFL especially the Chicago Bears market, I am far more patient then others on this, I believe he is the right guy, but moreso, I BELIEVE that NON STOP CHANGE is very unhealthy that is why I envy the Rooney's and Pittsburgh Organization, my #2 in my heart of the NFL.

If I’m the bears, I go after Tomlin

well, you really think Pittsburgh would even grant Bears the request to interview him #1, number 2, why would Tomlin want to leave?

Speaking of McCarthy, check this out , like I said above, McMarthy is WAY better than last 4 they hired since Love

Wonder how McCarthy would do with a real GM and owner?

Please expound on that statement?  Clearly, Bears are poor in that category,  Packers I would say is opposite of that, I would look at Jerry Jones as one of the better owners it seems,

You think all 3 places McCarthy has been have been void of real GM and Owner?   As in non family member??  Don't know enough of his time in Packers with org structure

Green Bay is a decent example. Some success, but soooo many near misses to just flat disasters. They definitely should have won more SB's...or at least make more appearances. McCarthy knows his system. I am not sure he has adapted well as teams move to more 4x1 sets, lining up in it or motioning. His offense became predictable. He does not manage a game well. He sucks at challenges. He does not make adjustments in a game. His ego is too big to allow a true OC to call the offense, even if someone on staff has the title. He gets pass happy. He gets way too tight when he has a decent lead. I remember telling all this to Dallas fans when they got excited. 2 other critical points.
1. He LOVES to settle for really long field goals

2. Aaron Jones sat the bench for 3 seasons while McCarthy was in Green Bay.
