  1. Past hour
  2. It is. Those are Morton's colors and othe team is the Hammond Central Wolves.
  3. Found this article about South Newton moving down to 8-man football. It lists the eight other teams competing in it. No clue who the Kosciusko Thunder are. Doesn’t appear to be a school itself. Same with the Tri-State Crusaders which is listed as the Fort Wayne Crusaders on Waldron and Greenwood Christian’s schedules.
  4. Today’s games will definitely tell us a lot about the HHC this year. Glad we have a decent slate.
  5. Yeah, they knew that.
  6. Holy Warrior would be a better translation.
  7. Some of the Muslim boys in my class at Woodlan a dozen or so years ago had a non school related soccer league team called Mujahadeen. They pulled the Woodlan Warriors name and interpreted Mujahadeen as Warrior.
  8. Adams Central at Luers...should be a great game, AC's first time going against the SAC...AC by 7 North Side at East Noble...my alma mater has all the talent in the world on paper, but paper doesn't account for poor discipline and disorganized coaching, until they prove the have the latter figured out, I remain skeptical...East Noble by 14 Snider at Warsaw...everyone knows what Warsaw is going to do, can Snider punch back on the road? Warsaw by 10 Wayne at Leo...Leo may be a little down this year, still think they should handle Wayne easily...Leo by 21 Westside at Northrop..sucks to lose the Week 1 game, but of course there are more important things to take care of up in NWI. Hamilton SE at Carroll...Carroll has become the 6A standard north of Hamilton County, a win here could show they are a true threat for a State run...Carroll by 1 Roncalli at Dwenger...These teams playing 3 times in 12 months is fun, excited to see BDs new up tempo offense, but I think new special teams remains a big question on Saints ability to repeat this season...Dwenger by 2 Secina at Concordia...Cadets swan song in the SAC, don't think they are at Secina's level, but could keep it close for a while...Secina by 18 Marion at South Side...South is always a team poised to be a disrupter every year, a week one W could set the tone...South by 6 Westfield at Homestead...a buddy of mine who lives out SW and has a son just getting into football asked me about Homestead, the best way I could describe them is a program that has all the resources and infrastructure to be much better than they ever are, they aren't on the same level as Westfield...Westfield by 24
  9. I am doing every team that is listed on John Harrell's website. If you can give me a list of 8-man teams and there are source images, I can do them after.
  10. Today
  11. Knox @ North Judson South Central @ Wheeler LaVille @ Triton Central Noble @ Culver Caston @ Whitko West Central @ Winamac Northfield @ North Miami Pioneer @ Lewis Cass as far as standings for the year in conference its Pioneer until proved otherwise. Then Judson and NM. After them it’s a battle for 4-8.
  12. @Frozen Tundrawe also have the Crawfordsville Athenians in Indiana as well as the ultra-posh Latin Romans on Chicago’s Gold Coast.
  13. South Bend Adams @ Culver Academy - Culver Academy will be better coached than Adams. Hammond Bishop Noll @ SB Riley (Jackson Field) - Riley is the best team from he South Bend Public Schools by a wide margin, Bishop Noll is not good. South Bend St. Joseph @ Lakeland - St. Joe starts strong in a year they are expected to do well. Hammond Central @ SB Washington (School Field) - Wash game, going with the home team. Mishawaka @ Mishawaka Marian - Mishawaka too big, too much for Marian Valparaiso @ Penn - Penn's O works out some kinks but the D will be firing on all cylinders...28-0 LaPorte @ New Prairie - NP bounce back year....hopefully Elkhart @ Concord - Concord is probably the second or third best team in our area. I expect them to win this game. I don't trust or believe in Elkhart.
  14. Castle @ North and Memorial @ Jasper are only 2 competitive games this week. North Jasper (sorry, cuz!) Reitz MD Boonville
  15. I’ll try again this year. I’m sure I’ll forget to make picks one week. Hard lineup for HHC teams this week. Martinsville mooresville Gibson Southern. Home team advantage. could very well go to FC. LC BIG Providence Greenwood.
  16. I understand, but my position was not Penn should be top 10, it was simply FC has never done a thing in 6A ball, while Penn has history of success in 6A.
  17. Livestream info; Memorial at Jasper: https://www.ihsaatv.org/?B=4246949 That is all I can find, thought North Live-streamed their games but came up empty.
  18. Does anyone know which radio station is broadcasting the East game?
  19. @Gipper Or how about my alma mater? The Olympians.
  20. These are all great matchups: 1. HSE/Carroll - This game is huge for Carroll, beat HSE and you are on the map for contention this year 2. Roncalli/Dwenger - Two heavyweights in a rematch of the state title game last year 3. Adams Central/Luers - Two of the very best pound for pound programs in the state 4. North Side/East Noble - Statement game for both programs. Is North all hype? Can East Noble have a repeat performance from last year? 5. Snider/Warsaw - Can the Panthers rebound from a dismal season last year? Can Warsaw continue to build on their success from the last few years with Bart ball?
  21. @hhpatriot04 Are you going to do 8-man teams as well? Waldron has some pretty cool helmets.
  22. This topic blows my mind. Can't make an NFL roster as a UFA? Then go BACK to college? Sure, it you're working on and advanced degree or just trying to finish out your Bachelor's. But, to play football again? What a joke.
  23. I really like the idea of Co-Op programs. Not sure how it would work or be regulated, but the idea seems good.
  24. Football is back... Attica at Faith Christian - This is a tough call. I keep hearing Attica is improving, but their numbers say otherwise. Don't know much about Faith. I'll stay with the WRC. I'll take Attica 28-14 Carroll at Seeger - Good early season matchup. Cronk era begins for the Patriots. I've seen the Carroll faithful are excited to get this season started. Cougars like the ground and pound. Don't know if Seeger will like that. Carroll 28-24 Covington at Tri County - Whatever. If the Trojans want to be taken seriously, they need to beef up the schedule. Covington 42-14 Crawfordsville at Parke Heritage - Don't know much about this year's edition of the Athenians. Have heard the Woolfs think they are a top 10 team. I'm not so sure. C-Ville 35-34 North Central at North Vermillions - Hopefully the injury bug is over for the Birds. Heard a lot of dudes were sitting out the scrimmage. Curious to see how the Falcons respond to their new coach. That hype video was great. Away team wins 35-12 Riverton Parke - Linton at Rose Hulman - Great match up. Heard this one is on the docket for at least three more years. I think the more experienced players, not coaches, take control of this game early, but the Miners will keep fighting. RP wins. 40-24 Southmont at Fountain Centrals - Coach Earl will do good things. He just might have to wait a week or two, or three for his first win. Mounties win. 35-7 West Vigo at South Vermillions - Crabtree is just what the Vikings need. The Wildcats are are still who we think they are. Vikings sack Clinton. 21-14
