  1. Past hour
  2. I don't see the link yet on IHSAATV.ORG, but that is where it will be..
  3. I like to think it's a blended version of a power poll combined with accomplishments. I try to think if the season ended today and we were deciding on seeding, how would I rate the teams. Kind of like the BCS model that combined many factors. Example: North would probably beat Tell City and Forest Park, but I'd rather see these undefeated teams in a playoff than a two-loss North team.
  4. I expect it will be a circus, TC will have a huge crowd. Should make for a great atmosphere
  5. Granted it was summer 11v11 scrimmages but I watched NP scrimmage BNL and North. (On film, didn’t get to attend) I think NP vs Castle would be a good game. Not here to say you’re wrong (and we will never know) but I’d expect a very competitive game.
  6. The North Daviess Jr high team played at Edgewood last night. Good guys won 20-6 on the red turf.

  10. Certainly makes polling these teams a challenge. But I put more stock in defeating Center Grove than I do barely beating North Central. If you beat the Trojans, you're pretty legit.
  11. Is this a ranking of most deserving or more of a true top 10 power poll style? I can’t see North Posey actually beating Castle in a real game.
  12. I’ll post the links tomorrow, since some of them get posted in the mornings.
  13. I know the Tigers usually stream all their games. Anyone have the link for online stream of the Memorial @ MD game?
  14. Still need week 4 picks from @Bluejacket1 and @Goose10
  15. Yesterday
  16. In case you have not seen this yet.
  17. I know this is an open forum, and anyone can comment, but those from the Indy area telling Penn to get over themselves? Did you call the school and speak to someone who actually represents the school and did they give you the travel excuse? Are you applying one person's defense that is a Penn fan on this forum and applying it to the school. Most of you Indy schools don't actually win state. That area of our state is like the SEC, if one of us wins we all win...Nah bro, just that school won. Noblesville, Zionsville and Franklin Central etc. don't get a piece of that action. Yes Penn has a competition issue. Yes Penn could fix it by leaving the NIC, in football only would be the best solution. However, until it actually feels like the school system cares about winning a state title in football again, we likely won't be leaving this conference....unless forced out. So, the question is why don't the other NIC schools actually do something like that? I personally don't care what the schools do in the southwest corner of our state, but you make valid points in that argument. Richmond plays a team across the state, so this can be done. Unless the 6A and High achieving 5A schools of the True North leave their conferences and make a scheduling agreement with one another, we will have region based conferences here in the very north part of the state. What does the scheduling agreement look like: The Region: CP, MVille, Valpo (Portage and LC if they want) Central: Penn, Elkhart (maybe Concord) Ft. Wayne: Warsaw, Snider, Carroll, Homestead (maybe Northrop) All agree to play their regional teams plus Penn and Elkhart and play at least one away cross state game each year (that would be one home game and one away game) What Penn's schedule could look like: (this is using this years Home/Away schedule for reference) 1- Valpo (H) 2- Mishawaka(A) 3- MVille(A) 4- Warsaw (H) 5- Snider (H) 6- Carroll (A) 7- CP (H) 8- Homestead (A) 9- Elkhart (H)
  18. St. Joe (3-0) @ Marian (1-2) Holy War '26 SB Washington (0-3) @ Penn (3-0) Elkhart (2-1) @ SB Riley (1-2) New Prairie (0-3) @ SB Adams (2-1) There is a chance each game is over by halftime.
  19. However those other sports are already playing many DAC and Ft. Wayne schools, so now that argument to oppose the move would carry less weight. I also think that the NIC could ask Penn to leave in just football and have the rest of the teams stay in conference... That I would say is a logical and fair solution.
  20. Yes WC and NC is a long standing rivalry. Even though NC for the most part hasn't been competitive in football for years.
  21. Both parents went to IU, older sister went to IU, I went to IU. Never had a choice.
  22. The only thing helping is that Penn non starters getting valuable playing time for next season and beyond .
  23. I think it’s most fair to say that traditionally there are only two programs whose best teams are world beaters in the largest class: Ben Davis and Warren Central. Center Grove got to where it is, in part, by having to go once and sometimes twice a year with those programs, and they are every bit their peer. Penn is likely leaving something on the table by playing the NIC schools, but I don’t think the program’s ceiling is or ever was one where Penn’s best teams would destroy an opponent in the state finals.
  24. I'm surprised you're not a Kentucky fan.
  25. Big win for IU. Not going to nitpick pick them for winning easily. Hoover was very impressive, a real running game does wonders. Defense looked very vanilla, think they weren’t showing much. I fully expect IU to beat Howard handily, could be 70-0.
  26. My late grandfather, a Cathedral grad, despised Notre Dame because he said it was forced down his throat from a young age. After reading this thread, I finally understand his sentiments and appreciate being outside of the Golden Dome because my family moved from Carmel to Santa Claus when I was a child. No post season for the Irish unless they run the table. Go Hoosiers!
  27. that doesn't help, but still we can both be correct here. Penn varsity is not helping anyone by crushing teams by half. This isn't a shot at the SB schools or Marian, however those Varsity teams vs the Penn JV squad would be a good game.
