  1. Today
  2. Nah, I’m not there yet. Noblesville is always much better than their record indicates. They play a top 15 schedule annually.
  3. The downturn started in the late 80's. https://www.encyclopedia.com/books/politics-and-business-magazines/emge-packing-co-inc
  4. What grade are they in? Someone mentioned before about Pekin and Clarksville starting a series next year (I assumed week 2) so makes me wonder if WW and Tell City start a series that week. We did play each other in JV last year If it happens at paoli I'll make sure to go.
  5. Actually it probably makes that sectional a bit stronger. Noblesville moving in with HSE, Fishers, and Homestead takes out possibly the weakest of the prior six teams in that sectional. Noblesville would often get off to a good start to the season in non conference, but fizzle out in the HCC, then sectionals.
  6. They’ll prolly win 1A south and I’ll say it right to your face!
  7. C'mon Donnie, you really think the fighting Chucks will take it all? No push from any WRC school?
  8. Brownstown is probably my favorite team to watch on film. Looking forward to that.
  9. Tell City is going to a tough out as well. They have a set of twins that are currently trading the 100M school record back and forth.
  10. Have you listened to any of the Williams or Odunze interviews? I hope they both play as well as the talk. Seems like 2 guys who just get it. Regarding Caleb, it makes sense that all the Bears heard about him is that his teammates and coaches love him. I loved the draft as well. The OL from Yale and Booker are both very high upside guys. That OL is a local guy. He played at Hinsdale Central. Not sure how I feel about taking the Aussie in the 4th round, but he was a beast at Iowa.
  11. Well it existed as a company called Excel for a while which was a huge reduction in workforce.
  12. There is a great high school lacrosse thread....they mistitled it "New Sectional Assignments" though
  13. Throw New Pal into Sectional 22 and you will most likely have your 4A South State Rep every year. Sectional 22 and 32 have to be the toughest in the state!
  14. To think I clicked on this thread expecting to read things related to the title! 🤣 I should have known better.
  15. Ahh I was not aware of that - I thought both had converted to the 21st century ! Are SR and VL the only schools on EASTERN time as well?? (That's honestly how they should determine sectionals...if you are on stupid....er I mean Central time - then you all get grouped together!)
  16. Princeton and Vincennes Lincoln have grass fields too
  17. I may be way off on my timeline - but pretty sure Emge didn't shut it doors still around the 94-96 range?? Also I was thinking of this last night ...is HH the only school in our sectional field that doesn't have turf??! Can we petition the IHSAA that they not host any sectional games !?!? heheheheheh (I kid of course....sort of)
  18. Yeah. I’m hard pressed to really disagree with you on that. The boards I’ve been a part of have generally done a pretty good job….although they can clearly be abused (and abusive). I’ve seen a lot more flaky coaches than boards as regards club sports.
  19. Understood. Thanks. That said, it wouldn’t be the first time the thought that an IHSAA Commissioner (past or present) was full of it passed my mind.
  20. To my knowledge there have been no Indiana HS LAX games on Sundays…at least in Central Indiana. Additionally, there is a real dearth of officials that drives what days of the week LAX is often played since these same officials are sometimes literally covering Youth all the way up to College LAX. There’s a lot of Youth and College LAX played on weekends which pushes HS games to be played M-F if possible.
  21. Yeah, given some experience with Indiana High School Hockey, my gut is to look toward the association's board and the boards from each team more than the coaches.
