  2. Here's my annual infographic for Most wins in Indiana High School Football History. While trying for accuracy, this won't match exactly what's on the IFCA's or even my page. I tried to combine the information from both to make as accurate as possible, but the number of wins may be slightly off here and there. Thanks and enjoy!

  3. You wearing a mask helps others. Them wearing a mask helps you. So if we all collectively do it we reduce the spread. It will never eliminate it, but greatly reducing isn't a bad thing. And in most instances it's really easy to do. A football game isn't one of them though. While eating or drinking isn't one of them. But if you aren't doing activities like that why not? The science clearly states it helps in a significant enough way.

  4. I think your point would have more weight ... if our society weren’t so mobile. The absence of any borders except lines on a map cries out for more uniformity than individuality in any solution. The virus doesn’t read maps.

  5. Try as I might, I cannot see the logic behind this. It reminds me of when I was a little kid, and one of my friends got to do something I wanted to do, but my parents wouldn’t let me because they thought it was unsafe. I would stamp my foot and wail about the unfairness of kids getting to do something that I couldn’t. I guess I’ve sort of answered my own question: it’s “little kids logic.”

  7. I'm close enough to sneeze on 65. Transmitting a virus is "doing someone a favor"? That's the attitude that can keep fall sports from occurring. Please stay away from Hamilton County.

  8. Voting for a third party candidate has at least two things gong for it: 1. It is not a vote for Mr. Biden. 2. It is not a vote for Mr. Trump. And if you can't find a presidential candidate, unit-party or not, that best aligns with your own personal morals and worldview then don't vote. It is not a horse race.

  9. Thanks I missed that, fits what they have coming back and as a former O-lineman I'm sure he (coach Webb) likes a little ground and pound!

  10. From the article, "Although he joked social distancing might force them to be a spread team, Webb feels the flexbone offense Tell City ran in the past fits the system and the personality of the community. He plans to meet with the coaching staff soon and reaching out to a handful of players."

  12. So what does this do to the planned restart of high school football? https://www.theindianalawyer.com/articles/face-masks-to-be-mandatory-in-marion-county-beginning-july-9?utm_source=breaking-news&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=2020-07-02 Face masks to be mandatory in Marion County beginning July 9 July 2, 2020 | Samm Quinn, Indianapolis Business Journal KEYWORDS CORONAVIRUS / DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH / GOV. ERIC HOLCOMB / HEALTH CARE / INDIANAPOLIS / LAW & POLITICS / LOCAL GOVERNMENT / MARION COUNTY / POLITICS / PUBLIC HEALTH COMMENTS PRINT Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and Marion County Public Health Department officials said Thursday that they’re mandating that face masks be worn in public in Marion County. Beginning July 9, face coverings will be required to be worn in indoor places where the public gathers, such as in office buildings and retail stores. They’ll also be required outdoors when it’s not possible to socially distance. The mandate comes as Marion County prepares to enter Stage 4.5 of the state’s Back on Track plan, announced by Gov. Eric Holcomb on Wednesday. The state is strongly recommending — but not mandating — Hoosiers wear masks and has launched a marketing campaign aimed at encouraging face coverings. As part of the new public health order, events larger than 1,000 people will be required to submit a health and safety plan to the Marion County Public Health Department for approval. Nursing homes and assisted living facilities will remain closed to visitors, and overnight camps will not be allowed. “This isn’t complicated. It’s a piece of cloth. It’s a piece of cloth that could save your life and the lives of those around you, and it’s the right thing to do,” Hogsett said.

  13. It’s more than embarrassing. It’s dangerous. This country has not been in such dire need of strong leadership since WW II. And regardless of the outcome of the election, we’re not going to get it.

  14. I prefer to live on the west edge of any time zone to maximize daylight at the end of a day rather than the beginning. I'm perfectly fine with ET. I often work with people around the country and I prefer to be aligned with those on ET. If we were CT I would have to start an hour earlier each day to be aligned with those on ET. End of day seems to have more flexibility. Just my personal preference.

  15. It should be about geography, period.

  16. Sectional - The schools split profits evenly after the IHSAA gets 2%. Regional - Each school gets $600. That’s it. The rest of the gate money goes to the IHSAA. The host school also receives $100 for use of their facility. Tickets cost 8 bucks. After 150 people walk through the gate, the state gets the money from the hundreds if not thousands more fans. Semi-State - Each school gets $700 of the gate. Again, the rest goes to IHSAA. The host school also receives $100 for the use of their faculty. This time only 140 fans are going to the gate fund for the schools. Having some experience in an athletics department, there is very little gain in hosting. State gets a grand majority of the gate. Concessions at some schools are not a money maker. In NWI, at least a half dozen have outsourced. Also, even through the ticket takers and chain gang are being paid by the IHSAA, they’re receiving only about $35 (probably less than what most make during the regular season - differs from school to school). I see zero reason for a neutral sectional. Same goes for regional. You could maybe convince me for semi-state. I see no problem with how it is now though. Yeah, it sucks when you’re Hobart and Andrean and have to bus 3 hours to Kendalville or the outskirts of Marion, but it is what it is. The geography gets a little tricky if you want to find a neutral site that works year in and year out. States like Ohio and Texas are much larger than Indiana and warrant neutral sites. The bottom line for the IHSAA is what makes the most money. They would probably lose money making neutral site tournament games. There are casual fans that will only go if their school is playing at home. You’re asking the real fans of both schools to then travel instead of just 1 fanbase if you go neutral site. We should be more worried about seeding 1 & 2 in the sectional.

  17. Where's the proof that was from last night? You rarely if ever post anything thats backed by facts. Here's major hypocrisy You say you hate coastal elites but you voted for one. You say the left is bad, but trump up until 2016 donated to democrats. You hate it that the government tells you what you can and can't but you want them to tell a woman what she can and can't, what gay people can and can't do. This is why the right is losing popularity in big fashion with people 18-45. You sir are at the top of the class in hypocrisy 101.
