  1. That would be an accurate description of him then. 😄

  2. According to the "All Madden" documentary, the video game generated $7 Billion in revenue. I highly recommend the documentary if you haven't seen it yet. It was finished and shown to John 3 days before he passed. Powerful stuff. It's available on ESPN+ and Peacock. https://ew.com/tv/how-to-watch-all-madden-john-madden-documentary/

  4. SF rule for 6A. Get 6 points your program sits out post season for 2 years. That way the other schools in 6A have a chance.

  5. Initial reports were the armorer involved in the movie was somewhat inexperienced. I don’t think she had ever been a head armorer before on a movie. It was widely reported at the time that the weapons were basically kept on set on a table and were available to to cast and crew where several people had taken the guns into the dessert to fire live rounds. The gun involved was a old timey single action revolver. So it’s not just a matter of pulling the trigger, you also have to pull the hammer back prior to firing. 1) Assume every gun is loaded. 2) Never point a gun at something you’re not willing to destroy. 3) Make certain of your target and what’s beyond. 4) Never put your finger on the trigger until you are on target. These simple rules do not change on a movie set. Typically guns used in movies are real guns, not “prop” guns. Guy Relford had Michael Grasso on his show back in October. Grasso has been the armorer on over 400 films. Very enlightening as to the workings of having firearms on a movie set. Oddly enough the podcast seems to have disappeared. I can’t find it online and it’s no longer in my library.

  6. I’ve always thought Baldwin was a DWE, but his behavior in the aftermath of this is shameful.

  7. Correct. Concord HS is technically in a small town (?) called Dunlap. But is basically the southeastern part of Elkhart. Concord has historically been the “little brother” that typically beat up on his older brother/brothers of Elkhart (or Central & Memorial before the merger). Has always been a rivalry there…my guess is someone at Elkhart was trying to make a statement.

  8. Agree 100%. Never play the “prevent” when the opponent also gets the ball first to start the second half. They got “Belichick’d,” i.e., score in the closing seconds of the 1st half, go in, make adjustments, and then score on the opening drive of the 2nd half. They had the game in hand. But I don’t care who the QB is or what he does. When you rush for < 50 yds. in the game, you don’t deserve to win.

  9. The season kind of ended the way I thought it would. The Irish showed flashes of what's to come. A lot of young players contributed to that first half. I think what a lot of us forget is that Oklahoma State was an outstanding team. They came within an eyelash of making the CFP. The Irish were never good enough to really be a serious contender for the final four, imo. The game pivoted on the decision, whoever made it, to go soft on the last OSU drive in the first half. 28-7 wasn't that secure enough lead to do that against a good team. They weren't playing Navy or Stanford yesterday. It's hard for any team to recover after going prematurely prevent. At least that's what I believe.

  10. Notre Dame will continue to be at the top of the second tier power five schools. Indiana,Purdue will be right there with them next year. Their old coach knew when to leave.

  11. You get Freeman was/is the D-coordinator who just got roasted for 600+ yds and the second biggest meltdown in ND history ND faithful expected better and it wont get easier for him with his next game at Ohio State this fall.

  12. Baldwin can spin this however he wants. It was a negligent discharge. The gun was in his charge at the time, he is responsible. I don’t see any getting around that.

  13. Actually it was all 3 phases were bad. Honeymoon over for Freeman Guy looked overwhelmed and over his head. Felt bad for him. ND not the place for testing coached who have never been HC.
