Yes Steve Weber has accepted the offer from Marshall, (Illinois) as head coach of the Lions. Steve was a line coach with Martinsville last year and enjoyed a great season with the Arties. This after several years at the helm of Bedford N.Lawrence, and many years of success at Linton. Glad to see Steve back as a HC.

Biggest question for the Jackets is the line on both sides of the ball. Return almost everything in the skill positions. Ethan Turner is the guy for the full offseason, excited to see him throw it around in the fall. Kids continued to fight and get better throughout the year. Give Kling credit, plus he is also doing a great job with working with the JH kids. I think you'll see a slight increase in the win total each year, and the incoming freshmen class group will be "the year" for us when they are seniors. This season's W total just hinges on a lot of questions on the Line.

Both of these athletic programs are at the top of their game in multiple sports and it sucks for the kids and the publicity of the particular sport in an instance where adults got in the way of a potential outstanding regular season matchup that could be a litmus test for both programs prior to the state tournament. if there is a cross country/track meet, is Carmel checking the entry list to see that CG is not there? How about a swimming invitational? This is dumb.

Yes, and Carmel's vague defense of pulling out of all contracts doesn't help the matter. Its a gross overreaction and I'd actually rather them come out and SAY that isn't the reason or else folks are going to speculate and not give them the benefit of the doubt, nor should they. If you are penalizing thousands of student athletes due to a knee jerk reaction (of an event that is a 50/50 split in terms of responsibility at WORST) that is awful leadership.
