Wait a second.. You chirped all week that Batesville was going to win by at least 2 touchdowns and you're shocked that someone came back to you on it?? Your comment says more about Batesville than EC 😬😬1 point

Wow! What a game! The defense play their best game of the year. I didn't think LCC would win the game. I thought WL would score 3 or 4 td's. WL scored 22 on Harrison and 34 on McCutcheon. The last time LCC held WL to 7 points was in 1994, when LCC beat WL 38-7, but that game was at LCC and WL went 0-9 that year. This reminds me of 1989 when LCC went over to WL and beat them 14-6. WL had beaten LCC the last 12 years and nobody thought LCC would beat WL that night. LCC made 2 FG's in that game in 1989, just like last night. LCC went on to win the sectional 17-7 in 1989, when they broke the law against Sheridan, and shut down Brett Law, Indiana's leading rusher. Last night was a really big win for LCC, they couldn't even hold WL to 7 points during the Anthrop years. But they didn't play WL until Danny's senior year.1 point

Just to clarify, the teams in the original system weren't voted in, it was strictly on points. I've thought about doing a prequel to my "What A Cluster" book with it based on the points system...maybe call it "What's the Point?" 🙂 Dan "Rudy" Engler1 point

Last year, a struggling Warren team who couldn’t score was down to a freshman QB on the road vs a top 10 Ben Davis team. Almost beat them. In fact, had the opportunity to do so. Ben Davis must have been overrated last year too….oh wait. Maybe something is to be said about heated rivalry games1 point

The INT thrown in the first overtime when all Ben Davis needed was a FG was so unnecessary.1 point

I never said anyone wanted it, but feel free to voice. Might also want to update your booster status, the GID loves participation. https://gridirondigest.net/clients/donations/1 point

Westfield 21 HSE 14 OT Defensive battle for most of the game. After just over an hour delay for lightning before the start, Westfield gets the only score in the firsts half on a 62 yard TD run by Deacon King. HSE misses a 50 yard FG at the end of the first half. Second half more of the same, but a LOT of penalties called on both teams, stopping potential scoring drives. Westfield partially blocked a HSE punt, giving them great field position inside the HSE 40, only to have back to back holdiing calls negate any scoring threat. Westfield QB Carsen Melvin also dropped two handoffs to the running back, losing one of them, again near midfield. Having a 72% completion rate going into this game, he did not have a good game, and had several drops by receivers. Finally, after a HSE TD drive, Westfield quickly regains the lead 14-7 on a King 58 yard TD catch and run. Westfield had a chance to put this one away late, but their kicker had a 33 yard attempt doink first off of the left upright, then down and off of the crossbar. HSE took advantage, thanks to a 4th down run deep in their own end, followed by a long pass into the Westfield red zone. A few plays later, it's tied at 14. Time ends with Westfield in their own end and letting the clock run down. Westfield has the ball first in OT, and immediately scores on a 10 yard run..PAT makes it 21-14. After two runs up the gut by HSE, on 3rd and goal from the Westfield 4, the HSE running back has the ball stripped by Micha Webster. Westfield recovers, game over. Next week at Brownsburg.1 point

Let's give a shoutout to Jeffersonville for stomping on FCs logo before the game and then getting stomped for 48 mins.1 point

The Rebs are having a good season, but things are about to get a little tougher. If they emerge 3-2, I’ll be happy. Breakdown: TC—SN’s true rival—Cavs are always a tough out, but I’m picking SN 39-34 West Central—tough season in Francesville—Rebs 29, WC 14 Monon—Same deal, but only on Monon—SN 33, Vikes 13 Park Tudor—why is this even on the schedule? PT 50, SN 23 Frontier—New Coach in Brookston who knows his stuff—Falcons 41, SN 20 Pioneer and North Judson are in their Sectional—Oi vey…1 point

I bet the 55 recruits were impressed with the Boilermakers. In all honesty they all should be confident they can play at Purdue.1 point

The only person I've seen on this forum speak facts and truth every time they post is @Donnie Baker. And usually he'll speak it right to your face! State Law!1 point

I don't even think this is North Judson's best team ever let alone beating those Kiser led teams. Pioneer imo was so good Jack's senior year, they win state without him, albeit closer. I'd really love to see Winamacs 2000 team face this Judson team. Both teams are very similar. Big offensive lines, very physical style of play and good athletes all over. Winamac offensive line that year went 215 T 260 G 204 C 324 G 250 T 290 TE They were also battle tested Beat 8-0 Frontier by 33. They finished 8-2 Beat North White in a tough match up who finished 11-3 Beat 8-2 Lewis Cass by 2 who went 8-2 Beat Eastbrook by 35 or 42 who went 7-4 Beat Delphi by 3 tds who went 9-3.1 point
