Every time someone brings up Bobby Petrino, I think and laugh of that picture of him beat to h*** with the neck brace on. Still in coaching gear, if memory serves me.2 points

https://reason.com/2025/12/18/the-u-s-is-stealing-from-millennials-and-gen-z-to-make-boomers-even-richer/ Nothing but a government sponsored Ponzi scheme. It needs to come crashing down. Now.1 point

Should have investigated the program with an outside firm when the Harbaugh incidents occurred, which was 2-3 years ago. If they had, likely Moore’s relationship with a staffer that was widely known on campus, would have been discovered, he wouldn’t have been promoted to head coach, and the dumpster that is happening right now would have been avoided1 point

Guess you missed the point of Michigan hiring someone to investigate their program about 3 years too late after the Harbaugh fiasco. Had nothing to do with them going outside to do the investigation, just how long it took1 point

They probably would have won without cheating, that's the sad part in all this. At least we all know now what I've speculated all along. Harbaugh is another Pete Carroll. Get my championship by any means necessary and get the hell out while leaving the program I was paid millions to run in shambles.1 point

Not better than all….just way more insight than a Paul Finebaum wannabe… BTW, at least get my resume complete….long time youth 🏈 coach too.1 point

What’s the alternative? Do the investigation in house? I can just imagine your comments if they had gone that route. They hired Jenner & Block, an outstanding law firm with a lot of experience in this sort of thing. It will be very expensive, but they will get their money’s worth.1 point

It's not about that, it just has no appeal to some. I see neither of these teams as a contender to win the whole thing. For me, it's just a bowl game and nothing more.1 point

Great start to the playoff. Two teams that would be Vegas underdogs to a team that wasn't even invited. Doesn't present quite the same excitement as last year's opening game.1 point

Well, on a bright note. He left at the top. Northrop's best season in 26 years.1 point

I think when you mess around with what can be considered a subordinate in any workplace, you put yourself at risk. I will defer to Bob as to the level of risk. Additionally, it was reported he kept alcohol hidden in his desk drawer and supposedly imbibed at work. If accurate, my guess is that is also a workplace violation. At 8-4 this season, I doubt Ohio was looking to dismiss the coach for performance. My guess is that he violated expected workplace conduct. Whether one agrees or disagrees, Ohio took immediate action....they did not sit on it.1 point

The statement "Cheaters never win" has obviously been disproven. We're being shown that cheaters do, in fact, win.1 point

Yeah I had read through his history. It’s crazy how he had college football coaching jobs and an XFL coaching job at 19, 20, and 21 years old.1 point

15 turned away this time: https://www.indystar.com/story/news/2025/12/18/naturalization-ceremony-indianapolis-immigration-uscis-travel-ban-banned-high-risk-countries/87811430007/ This United States Citizenship and Immigration Services official is a coward. And such policies are un-American at their core. Shouldn't we be judging these people solely by the content of their character and not where they came from?1 point

The ball cannot be handed forward, except in or behind the neutral zone. Right from the rulebook: ART. 2 . . . Forward handing occurs when the runner releases the ball when the entire ball is beyond the yard line where the runner is positioned. ART. 3 . . . Backward handing occurs when the runner releases the ball when any part of the ball is on or behind the yard line where the runner is positioned.1 point

Yeah that’s fair about FC. See if Bragg to silver creek has any actual merit to it tho and what they’ll do at QB. bnl has a few new guys coming in to help with some things and some younger guys they’re excited about from what I hear. Will have to replace a lot on defense and what not but return 10 guys on offense from the sectional games and are happy with what they’ll be doing with their new QB should be a fun year for everyone with some new blood at coaches and what not.1 point

so you expect perfection in your professional sports viewership? The other team that Steelers were playing also get paid too. It's like my dad, after 1 game of Purdue basketball he was ready to phone it in on Oscar Cluff....... He got a tongue lashing from me, then a reminder since of how dominant he is..........but he too is a guy who expects perfection in his sports,, until I point out his fallacies consistently, then I get the " shut up". that means I am right in our sports family btw1 point

If "sports" is ever divorced from the schools...the kids that need sports the most, will have very little access to it.1 point
