  1. I will bet you ONE MILLION DOLLARS that Blitz's tweet from the Luers coach are wrong. The 2-Point Minimum Success Factor rule ONLY applies to programs that are CURRENTLY BUMPED UP TO A HIGHER CLASS AFTER EARNING 6+ POINTS IN THE PREVIOUS CYCLE. Luers won the 2A State title in 2011 & 2012. That bumped them up to 3A for the 2013-14 cycle. They earned only 2 Points in 13-14 & would have fallen back into 2A except their enrollment had jumped up into the 3A level. So they stayed in 3A due to enrollment for 2015-16 (0 points) & 2017-18 (3 points). For the 2019-20 cycle, they will be in 2A due to enrollment. Even though Luers earned 3 points in the previous cycle, they can & will drop to 2A because they were in 3A due to enrollment, not due to the Success Factor. I repeat-- For the 2019-20 cycle, FW Luers will be in 2A due to enrollment.

  2. Wow, this is pretty low. The parents paying off the debt after the fact does not somehow change the fact that they (apparently) sent their kids to school on those prior occasions without breakfast or lunch, or the means to buy it. So if the school system truly believes that this failure by the parents was evidence of possible neglect, the school system should report the parents to child welfare authorities -- and, indeed, may well have a legal duty to do so -- regardless of whether the parents later settle their debts to the school system. Which means the school system is either lying in its supposed view of the parents' (alleged) failures to feed their kids or send them with money to buy breakfast/lunch, or it is willing to use the welfare of these children as leverage in an "extortion" effort. ("We won't rat you out for neglecting your kids if you pay up.")

  5. First I will reiterate - this whole Punish Success Factor business is a convoluted mess. Second - Did I miss something? I thought the whole point of the "keep up" part of the Punishment Factor was only applied to schools who had been bumped up previously. I didn't think it applied to ALL schools. I could be wrong and misunderstand. But FW Luers and Snider ARE NOT in the same position. FW Luers was 3A by enrollment (601 in 15-17, and 617 in 17-19) which put them in the middle of class. Now their enrollment is 542. They are 2A by size. Snider was 5A by enrollment in 15-17, Bumped up to 6A in 17-19, and then Kept up in 6A by success. Bishops Luers' drop is a bona fide enrollment issue. Look at those class sizes on the left hand side of the graphic @Titan32 posted. Replacing a senior class of 193 with a freshman class of 129? Darn right that would affect your enrollment.

  7. I have no idea who Rory Reid is, but knock yourself out Scooter. FYI, I have no idea what your proposal is either, just saw where you were begging for money on the Internet.

  8. 5A was planned that way. 1A through 4A are maxed out at 64 teams each. So the bumping is necessary. 6A is set at 32, and will not change. 5A started at 32 as well, but the intent was to have additional teams added once the smaller classes were set.

  9. Before 60 is the best time to have a hip replacement. In later years, the surgery can kill you. Of course future generations probably won't need them because they don't use them.

  11. Once again Nostradamus how do you know? If I were to believe any of the drivel you post I would expect to fall over dead any minute. How much have I paid into FICA? How much have my employers paid in on my behalf? To be honest, most of the crap you post doesn’t warrant addressing. I merely do it for entertainment value, mine as well as others. This might come as a surprise to you, but you would probably be shocked to know the amount of humorous text that are sent laughing at the crap you post. Keep em coming Scooter, some of this stuff is gold.

  12. I have always believed that the home school has support the athletic program from the following of the home crowd. If you are counting on the visiting team to support your program you will have a lot of money problems to keep the program at the level you want it.

  13. I'm calling BS, I don't care if you took a weekend class on insurance at a Holiday Inn or not. We had employees in a heck of a lot worse shape than me that were able to get on our group plan prior to ACA. Cancer survivors, heart issues, overweight, etc. I just met with my financial guy last week, doing some end of working life stuff. I got some pretty attractive rates on life insurance packages. It's obviously not as bleak as you would have us believe. I may be fat, got some hardware in my body, and old. But I'm still good looking, have my hair, and chicks still dig me.

  16. I have voted in every local or national election for the past 30 years. If you could actually remember our discussion from last week I indicated there may be times where I don't vote for a particular position/seat if none of the candidates I feel are qualified, but I do go to the polls.
