I am Keith Nance. It is a HUGE understatement to say that this is less than an ideal situation for dozens of reasons. The obvious, we would all prefer to be standing beside and led by our dear friend Coach Bowsman. Secondly, the Superintendent being the head coach is obviously problematic. I have been fortunate to be allowed to work as a unpaid assistant/offensive coordinator while being the Superintendent for the last 5 years. I have coached for 20 as a varsity assistant all at WW, 19 with Phillip and 13 years as OC. It is my hobby, a passion and a chance to be close with kids and have a group of peers (coaching staff). It is my full intention to do this for one season only. For this team and these seniors. This team is special for a lot of reasons. One, they are good. BUT more importantly, they are extremely close and have been coached by Coach Bowsman since 3rd grade. The events of the last 5 months has only made them closer. Holden, Phillip's son and Quarterback/Captain will be a senior leading this team on the field. For all of them continuity was the #1 consideration. Honestly, this is putting my neck out professionally because it is controversial and already has some people spitting vitriol words, but this is about this team, these seniors and next season. And I would do anything for them.

We are totally consumed with “what if’s” now. I want to eliminate those. And it’s not even about HS football. It’s about getting back to normal. Too many lives are going to be lost if we continue to test those symptomatic only. The tests JustRules refer are not even the ones that would be used. These tests would be a quick nasal dip and then in 5 minutes or less you know the answer. “Those don’t exist” you say, well not yet they don’t. But give researchers enough incentive ($$$$) and it will come to market. I’m done here, but look for Pelosi and her gang to demand this and in this case I agree with her. Just don’t forget where you heard it first!

per Josh Lewis Twitter Darrin Russell (current girls basketball coach) has been named new AD. Keith Nance (Superintendent and previous OC) named Head Football coach tonight at school board meeting. Congrats to both Men and think both are great hires. Looking forward to continuing Bowsmans vision and legacy and seeing all sports programs continue to get better.

True, but that is the case with a number of viruses. Had he never acquired the Coronavirus, how many more years would he have lived? He became a "light" for those trying to minimize the seriousness of the virus and to promote the notion that States and health officials were not reporting accurate numbers. The sad reality is that the virus led to his passing. As I said, the actual cause of death may have been one or more of the underlying issues. But looking at AIDS as an example; when people pass, the death certificate will not say AIDS. It will say something along the lines of AIDS related illness; or complications related to AIDS. In a legal and medical sense, it was AIDS that led to the untimely death, just as in cases now, people are dying of causes or complications related to having the Coronavirus.

Yes. As you can expect, lineman pads are larger and heavier duty. Skill guys are smaller for more mobility. There are QB specific shoulder pads.

Out of curiosity, are there different pad styles for different player positions? I would assume a QB would not wear the same shoulder pads as a O or D lineman??

Imagine someone telling you before the game that the winning team will score 64 points, but will be outscored 35-0 at one point in the game. You'd probably laugh and walk away from the mentally challenged guy.
