  1. It has an old school feel like something out of the 30s in terms of the massive covered bleachers. There’s really nothing quite like it that I’m aware of today. It’s a pretty intimidating place too when you look across the field at the packed stands. I recall after losing there people billowing out of the stands like a human wave.

  2. Best: Any of the MIC stadiums. Usually very user-friendly especially since the Lawrences upgraded. Worst: Fishers. Nothing against the stadium, but the amenities are very outdated. Unique: St. X. I about died climbing to the top of the home side. Pretty cool stadium. Really like Southport Cardinal Stadium or whatever car dealership is sponsoring it now.

  3. I understood your point. I was making an attempt at humor - which Lysander picked up on. If you are like me and have both Protestant and Catholic sides of the family, the Catholic/Christian discussion can turn interesting at times. A wedding, baptism, confirmation, etc. can turn into the English War for Reformation if you're not careful.

  4. I'm biased, but Adams Central's Minnich Field is the best natural grass field I've been on. We have a fantastic maintenance crew at AC that takes care of the field. There's no better example than the regional championship game against South Adams in 2019. We had just got 6+" of snow and the crew spent hours clearing the field and getting it in relatively fantastic shape for us to play on. In terms of other ACAC schools, I think Bluffton and Heritage have the best facilities. The locker rooms are fairly new and right next to the field and the turf fields look fantastic. Home and away stands are really nice and are good sizes. One of the more unique settings I've seen is at Tri High. We travelled there last year and their football field and athletic facilities were really nice (all turf softball field). The unique part is that it seemed like the football field was a quarter mile+ away from the locker rooms/school. I'm sure it wasn't that far, but it was definitely a walk and neither team messed with walking back to the locker rooms at halftime.

  6. If we’re limiting it to high school fields, I’d say Fawcett Stadium in Canton, OH, home of the Hall of Fame, and Paul Brown Stadium in Massillon, OH, because ... well geez, I was a 16 yr. old kid growing up in Ohio, it was the late 1960s, and it was freakin’ Massillon!

  7. The BEST Stadium ... I am a bit biased. However, this is a beautiful facility and a great place to watch a game on Friday night.

  8. Really like both of these stadiums. I have always liked Tell City's stadium. Middle of town, surrounded by houses, when they are good they have what appears to be parties at the house across the street. Field seems to always have good grass, thick and well maintained. Home stands are big enough and elevated. Good concession stand food. To me it is what small school football in a small town should be about. I love our (North Posey) field and location but there is something to being in the middle of the town.

  9. LOL. Honestly, I've seen more about it on this site than I have on any other social media site. Although I actually only frequent 3 including this one, I do have quite a few friends and family from Houston. I'm just trying to wrap my mind around someone who has a need to use at least 40 different masseuses. Where they do that at? Personally, I've never even used 1.

  10. There has always been the “court of public opinion.” It’s just easier to find out what the jurors are thinking these days.
