  3. Game is about to start. Line is Rams by 4.5, and the over/under is 49. Post your observations here. And don’t forget to cheer on our own Bryan Neale, working the Umpire position today. MIBT GTBO DFIU!

  4. Loved the music growing up also but you are spot on. These artists made a living off of songs promoting domestic violence and killing cops. As a matter of of Snoop’s hits is actually titled “&$?! The Police.” Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

  5. Not at all. I grew up with that music. I have a problem with a league that promotes so much social justice stuff and allows snoop dog to perform at half time of their biggest game. That guy has a video mock killing donald trump. imagine if a white artist did that and mock killed obama? also funny that the bengals had a woman abuser as captain (mixon). not only did he hit a lady, he hit a white lady. where was the outrage? the hypocrisy is getting exposed and it is glorious.

  7. Just throwing out there for conversation sake that Mooresville’s girls basketball took down two MIC powerhouse over the weekend with 3x their enrollment and the 4A girls southern semi-state is an all Mid-State affair with them and Franklin. Probably irrelevant to the actual conversation here but cool nonetheless.

  8. How about all the coaches and players? Wouldn't they know best? I am personally not a fan of jock sniffing sportswriters....and they blackball more people than anyone....plus are biased toward regional candidates.

  9. This dude is a deranged CREEP. Read that bolded part. That proves this dude has stalked my family on facebook, one being a MINOR. You sick bas****. And before ron plays the victim yet AGAIN, he has sent so many unsolicited, bragging photos of his children to many of us on here. Seek help Ron. Check madicare. I would presume it covers it. That is above your pay grade. Stick to mops and plungers ronny boy.

  10. There is already a growing enrollment disparity between the 4 largest and 4 smallest of the 8 current Mid-State members. The addition of Southport and Columbus North would only escalate it. I would expect Greenwood and possibly Martinsville to consider leaving if this became a reality. Greenwood is a landlocked school district that relies on out-of-district transfers for any growth. Martinsville continues to lose enrollment to families leaving for Center Grove. Greenwood’s application to the Hoosier Heritage Conference would probably be submitted immediately after the approval of what you are suggesting. If new membership requires unanimous approval from current members, I would expect Greenwood and Martinsville to block these additions. 11. Great content but I thought DT was the only one allowed to create talking points like this. I’ll watch this one play out and take notes on the stark differences in how this topic is received because of who you aren’t.

  13. You just assumed that if 25% are white, then 75% are black. In terms of numbers, your mistake was colossal. You pretty much discredited how 17% of NFL football players want to be identified.

  14. The Officials Code of Ethics appears as Appendix G to the NF Rule Book. It does not directly address this issue. It does provide that “Officials shall be punctual and professional in the fulfillment of all contractual obligations,” and “Officials shall uphold the honor and dignity of the profession in all interaction with student-athletes, coaches, athletic directors, school administrators, colleagues, and the public.” But nothing specific to this point. I confess, I got a t-shirt from Penn once, and they also gave me the game ball when I ended my on-field career there in 2017.

  16. I agree 100%, I am not a fan of the SF. I mentioned in another thread 6A teams don't get punished for winning. I think if a 6A team gets the move up points they should have to sit out the next two years. Only way to make it fair.

  17. I’m just glad Dolphins fans could sleep last night knowing that their coach identifies as a “human being first” and that his skin color is irrelevant. He didn’t take the bait. Kudos. Who would have that would EVER be considered a controversial statement.

  18. With continued talks of conference realignment and the ramifications of Carmel and CG exiting the MIC, the Mid-State Conference is one of the best growing athletic conferences in the State. Great schools and great competition in not only football, but in every sport. Sure it is not as big as the MIC or HCC in terms of enrollment and product of play, but it is turning into one heck of a conference. There was an article from the Daily Journal that came out not too long ago about the future of the Mid-State and you have to think there are schools who would like to join. Although the conference is already at 8 schools, does not mean they are set. It would not surprise me if they look to expand and grow into an even bigger conference. There are 4 schools that should immediately be banging on the door for an entrance in. These 4 schools are Southport, Columbus North, Bloomington North, and Bloomington South. These schools are members of the dying Conference Indiana and need to find a home quickly. This will obviously help with scheduling stability, which these 4 schools struggle each year with, but also be a great fit with competition and distance to games/events. This would place 12 schools in the Mid-State. For football, they could definitely come up with a 2 division scenario for games. Mid-State West- Plainfield, Decatur Central, Mooresville, Martinsville, Bloomington North, Bloomington South Mid-State East- Southport, Perry Meridian, Greenwood, Whiteland, Franklin, Columbus North 1 Nonconference, 5 Inter division games, 2 games from other division, Championship week 9 (1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3, 4vs4, 5vs5, 6vs6). There are some different sizes of schools in the Mid-State, but I do not think the difference in sizes is too much for a sport like football. All these schools would benefit from many factors, especially the proposed new schools from CI. I am not sure if Mid-State members are open to expansion, but I do think this would be one heck of a new conference and push to being one of the best in the state. There would be so many great matchups and rivalries with great crowds and exposure.

  19. As long as Fauci is nowhere near this or beagles, I’m good. Name YOUR qb Bob. My bet is Rodgers has more SB ring/s than him. Unless your qb is Nick Foles, then well, we have an issue.

  20. Does the IHSAA have an ethics policy in place regarding Officials accepting gifts? The private Company I was employed by had a strict policy in place that prohibited me from accepting any gift, no matter how small, in order to eliminate any semblance of impropriety.

  21. Why not just abolish the Success Factor all together? I think the biggest class that has issues of the same teams always winning is 6A and there's no 7A to send Center Grove to. Let's be honest the Success Factor was put in place to either "keep in check" or "punish" Catholic school dominance in the early 2010s depending on your viewpoint. For those who wanted Catholic schools to play up it didn't work. Those teams are still making it to state and winning. And there's so many problems with it. As Jets described one good class hurt Southridge. Their team two seasons ago would have possibly won 2A, or at minimum had a great chance. Then you have teams like Western Boone who won their first two state championships in the correct (lucky) years. It's like the NCAA putting scholarship limits on teams for recruiting scandals that happened with the last coach or group of players. A better way for the IHSAA to classify would be to look at overall male population for boys sports and percentage of male population in schools then classify based off that. But that's a common sense approach which probably means it won't happen.
