We will have to agree to disagree because you aren't going to get it. I guess different folks are motivated differently. A game is never meaningless, we battle for the W...that is all that is needed.

The argument made here year after year is that kids will somehow play harder, or that the games will magically become more competitive. You see you and I have a completely different perspective on what "meaningful" is. We do all we can regardless of what it qualifies us for. I can tell you there is nothing you can do in SWI to make the games mean more to anyone. There are valid arguments for a qualification system but "factually" speaking, "meaning" is not one of them.

If you live in a part of the state where a qualification playoff system will make your regular season games more "meaningful" ....I sincerely feel so so sorry for you.

There are no asterisks in conference championships...the winner will hang the banner and in 5 years no one will remember the * or not....except the 5 guys who are still P!ssed cuz they thought they had a shot.

Massey still shows the old conference structure: Sectional 32 won't disappoint again this season. Southridge is the clear favorite anywhere from 4 to 11 points over Gibson Southern depending on the statistical tool of your choice. GS tends to look a lot different in post season than in the regular season version.

Agree...GOD's time indeed. It's too bad time zones aren't actually based geographically...that would be a novel approach.

top 4 guys were contact traced out for that game including Klem the sequel....he looks like a grown man. I was surprised we came away with it, but lots of depth in that group.

I think there are more than a few P/P supports left. That said, the same old arguments year after year got old and only takes a page or two to burn out now days when it comes back up. Perhaps everything that can be said regarding contraction has been said as well, I'm not sure. I think the GID has played a large part this season it helping to coordinate Covid Replacement games....that is a huge value add in my eyes.
