  1. Taking NOTHING away from Purdue, but I think by season’s end, both Iowa and Michigan State will have been exposed as pretenders (still good wins)… OSU is an entirely different animal. I see Purdue putting up points, but not nearly enough.
  2. I’ll believe it when I see it. Ohio State is always clutch in late November.
  3. Oh I agree completely and both have a slim to none chance of beating OSU. But from a historical perspective, all that matters and all that folks will remember from the Michigan/MSU game from 2021 is 37-33.
  4. Eh, I get it but I’d still be a bit peeved if I were MSU. It will work itself out in the end and really doesn’t matter at this point so getting outraged about it is pointless Head to head (in particular the final score) has to matter first and foremost. Oregon is still in front of OSU despite the fact that I think if they played again this weekend, OSU would probably be favored. MSU losing to a team that was unranked at the time did them in. Michigan’s loss is “better” but it came at the hands of Michigan State, lol.
  5. Correct. I should have clarified. I’ve long maintained that BD’s JV could win that sectional.
  6. I’ll give you that but when the purpose of replay is to correct potential errors on the field and they STILL get it wrong, it’s an embarrassment. Then to release an “our bad” statement ten days later is salt in the wound.
  7. Serious question that is in no way intended as a shot towards any program... Does BD even game plan for the sectional? Do they have to? I know there is coach speak and no one would admit it but I bet they have been preparing for either Brownsburg or Carmel since the end of the regular season. They'll play their best football...AGAIN.
  8. Tell me this. Calls/no calls often decide games. This is a fact. Why is it that both the coaches and athletes have to take the walk of shame and get bombarded with questions post game about why they did this or did that, yet referees just roll out of town and have to answer to no one? Then give some half-assed apology two weeks later which changes nothing? In this particular case, Harbaugh was blasted by the media for making a non-specific statement about the officiating. Was called a whiner and folks pointed to mistakes his team made as a way to indicate he was giving himself and his team a pass. Then, 9 days later the conference posts an "our bad, you were right" apology... Coaches have millions of dollars riding on the outcomes of these games, the players have poured their lives into this game and with replay there is absolutely NO excuse for this to happen.
  9. Just speaking to officiating, that’s all.
  10. Any Bears fans wanna chime in this AM?
  11. Likelihood of Fort Wayne “area” teams to win this weekend (my opinion). 1. Adams Central 2. Eastside 3. Dwenger 4. Carroll 5. Norwell Agree/Disagree?
  12. They need (all refs) to be accountable. Suck it up, dig in your pockets, and employ full-time referees. Coaches and players have to face the music after the game and answer questions from the media, referees should have to also.
  13. Well, I mean they did overturn a scoop and score that was ruled a TD on the field and then just walked it back. So… Kudos to you for protecting your guys but it is widely known that Big Ten officials have been egregiously bad for quite some time. In this particular case, it was the replay booth. The refs actually got it right.
  14. And then there’s this… https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32584618/michigan-football-coach-jim-harbaugh-says-big-ten-acknowledged-officiating-mistakes-loss-michigan-state
  15. This one is definitely more intriguing to me than it would have appeared a month ago. I still think Westfield pulls it out but Carroll could make things interesting.
  16. They beat who they are supposed to?
  17. While I agree with you, isn’t ranking Michigan in front of MSU a double standard? Michigan dominated most of the game but the final score has to matter, right?
  18. I tend to agree but will play devil's advocate here. After Georgia, there are 10-12 teams that on the right day "could" be playoff worthy. I heard Klatt talking about this very topic on Saturday during the OSU/Nebraska game. You have to expand this thing. It is playoff or bust for so many programs which is a damn tight window. You have some great programs and teams that are being left behind annually that could do some damage in the right scenario/matchup.
  19. I am interested in the Michigan/MSU dynamic in tomorrow night's rankings. Both teams will still control their own destiny but the committee set precedent by putting Oregon in front of OSU due to head to head. How far will the Spartans drop?
  20. Indeed it does. But they knew the schedule coming in. Michigan and MSU began the season unranked but they knew exactly what they were up against when they saw Iowa, Cincinnati, Penn State and Ohio State on the schedule.
