  1. @Lysander & @ImpartialObserver We will be rolling by 11 am Saturday rain or shine. No hiccups this year IO. Come see us if you are there. Staking our claim to Tailgate Kings this year!!
  2. Memorial and Mater Dei are in the SIAC, not in the PAC.
  3. Global? Chernobyl? Certainly nothing as slick as “The only good things that come from Heritage Hills are the Voyage, the Legend and free refills”! That was all-time!! LOL.
  4. @Prospect - Is EN coming down to Indy Friday or Saturday morning? EM is heading up Friday. Just curious bc the 2 schools are about the same distance away..
  5. My point was experience at Lucas Oil means very little IMO.
  6. We heard that last year too. No HS team is unbeatable, especially those who hear they are..
  7. Last year EM was defending champion with a lot of returning players. Came out flat, gave up 2 TDS in 3 plays and was down in a 14-0 hole before the first tv timeout.
  8. EM 20-19 over HH in 1988. Two great teams battled for 4 Qs. Doesn't seem like 31 years ago though....
  9. I agree, GS has had some weird stuff. Should have a great opportunity these next 2 years to get over the hump.
  10. is wishing they were Heritage Hills or Memorial......
  11. Thank you. I said south of Indy. Those are all in Indy. SR has played 3 p/p's several times. HH did it once in 2003.
  12. Well, there aren't many to run up against - only 3 p/p football schools South of Indy - Memorial (now 4A) and Mater Dei & Providence (both 2A).
  13. Weather forecast is looking good. No rain, temps in mid-40's dropping into upper 30's. Good night for football.
  14. That means nothing. Mt. Vernon has played 14 games in 2019. They are no longer young.
  15. I think "punished" is the wrong word. At this point under any scenario (2yr/4yr cycle) we would be in 4A so it is what it is. While it will be a challenge for Memorial to consistently compete in the 4A tournament having less than 600 students, it is a good problem to have and sure beats the alternative.
  16. I love clearing the smoke from his six-shooters in front of the stands......
  17. I agree. The success of LCC, Chatard, & Cathedral was the biggest factor..
  18. That is remarkable.
  19. I don't think it will impact either team.
  20. EM is very lucky to call Enlow Field our home. It is particularly nice when Mother Nature graces the game with rain bc the home side is covered so fans are more inclined to come out knowing they don't have to sit in rain all night. Are there any other IN HS fields/stadiums that have covered seating? I'm not aware of any...
  21. in 2017, it was raining cats and dogs, so instead of tailgating our folks all met at a Mexican restaurant just north of the Danville campus. I wasn't there bc I was helping with pregame stuff but everyone said the margaritas were very good. Don't remember the name of the place though.... HCTB - La Hacienda is the place. Sorry, I didn't read the other posts....
