  1. Yes it would be colossal. Which is why it won’t happen. Cathedral has gone “toe-to-toe” with 6 teams this year that are better than Whiteland.... and beat 5 of them.
  2. Have not seen them play. But Mike Kirshner is building the program and the players have bought in. They are in a good 4A conference and ran the table. Sagarin has all 4 of the teams mentioned within a point and a half of each other. Nothing will surprise me!
  3. You know IU had no control on tickets, right? Up to 1,000 for each school for player’s families, then students. ND attendance was listed at 46,500. How they were allowed to do that I have no idea. And the students rushed the field. Players mingling with fans and high fiving .... a Covid super spreader in the making. Absolutely agree on IU’s defense. Elite. Not bad for a bunch of 3-star players, eh DT? I don’t see a win in Columbus, but it will be interesting to see how they hang. One things for sure, Indiana will get everyone’s best shot from here on out!
  4. The Brickies will be favored to represent the north at LOS. Then will be the underdog to 1 of 4 teams that survive down south..... E. Central, Mooresville, Mt. Vernon or Roncalli.
  5. I’m sure OSU will dial up some kind of scheme to take away IU’s receivers. If Penix jr can stay upright then yes they can keep it close. I know the defense will bring it!
  6. LOL, called his bluff. He’s too busy being the queen of the score thread!
  7. Brownsburg finally wakes up, goes up-tempo and punches one in. Carmel 18 Brownsburg 7. 8:50 2nd qtr
  8. Doesn't really matter that they opened in 1940. Nobody won a sectional until '85ish.
  9. I don't think it is officially a forfeit. Dropping out for this reason should not penalize a team and counted as a loss.

  11. Of course. He’s a team player!
  12. “That’s two weeks in a row a pass thrown way to hard went right through Hendershots hands”......... There, I corrected it for you. If you paid attention he threw catchable balls the rest of the game.
  13. After throwing another laser through Hendershot’s hands when it wasn’t necessary, Penix finally settled down and showed his elite talent. Just quit using the QB sneak or he’s going to get hurt again. Michigan next Saturday should be quite a game!
  14. Go back and look at the sentence I bolded in your post. I have no idea what “Check with the record players see if they think they can be in Indiana” means. 37-21 and IU was clearly the better team.
  15. Are the ‘Dawgs up to the task? After winning the rivalry game (Avon) last year they faltered in their next assignment and squandering an opportunity for a Ben Davis regional matchup. This year, despite Avon learning @ 2:00 on game day they would be without their standout QB (yes, Covid-19), almost spoiled the projected matchup next week before Bburg prevailed 34-31 on a last second FG. Carmel comes in having established themselves as the 2nd best in the mighty MIC, having won their last 7 games. Their only losses coming early in the season to everyone’s top 2 teams, CG and Cathedral. The ‘Hounds live for games like this. They expect to win. Sagarin says this is a total tossup, only giving the home team a slight edge. But Carmel’s experience in tournament games at the very least negates that advantage. This is this year’s statement game for the HCC, or at least this week’s statement game! Who ‘ya got?
