  1. Just verified there were 12,000 at today’s Colt’s game. That makes the numbers even better!
  2. Current max attendance in Lucas is 7,500. If that stays the same it would only make sense to sell single game tickets and empty the stadium after each game. That provides each school an equal opportunity to see the game and the IHSAA can maximize ticket sales. 6 x 7,500 = 45,000. There would need to be probably 75 - 80 minutes between games so start times would be adjusted accordingly.
  3. Evansville Central @ Jasper. ((Sect. 24) Jasper is very good and lost to undefeated EC by just a TD on the road. This should be a good one.
  4. I agree until an HCC team actually does it, it’s hard to pick them against a MIC team. But if Brownsburg scores 34 points Carmel will not win. This matchup will also be @ Brownsburg. Jeff has the same problem as last year..... their NCC schedule. The Pirates should win. Yes Westfield is having a special season, but they aren’t THAT much better than Homestead. Westfield by a TD. The Shamrocks put up a fight for 2 1/2 quarters, but the greatest team in IHSAA history pulls away for a 17 point win. CG’s 1st of the anticipated 3-peat!
  5. Perhaps Warren doesn't care if they have 3 weeks between games, but I don't think Brownsburg wants that much time off.
  6. I don't really care either, but who in the h*ll gave 0-8 Lawrence Central 6 points?
  7. Both have new head coaches. Sometimes it takes awhile to build your program.
  8. Reading comprehension is a good thing. Read my sentence again. I said "a slow rise to prominence". Meaning 4-6 years. Don't forget they were 6A last year and knocked off Brownsburg.
  9. I agree wholeheartedly. And I think the fanbase at Fishers and HSE will demand a better football program. It's started at HSE and Fishers has a recent state title. Zionsville is also a program that could see a slow rise to prominence.
  10. 7. McCulley reminds somewhat of Tre Roberson. Not sure if that's good or bad. 11. Show me where Chesterton was an overwhelming favorite. Many thought Pioneer could pull out a win. And being 6A does not qualify as being the overwhelming favorite.
  11. There are 20-some million reasons we can't give up on Rivers yet. He knows better, he can do better. I still think this is a playoff team.
  12. Warren made annual trips to Cincy from 2014-16 and played Trinity in Louisville in 2018. What travel restrictions?
  13. Or you could say "the best in 6A and the best in the GCL south".
  14. Sagarin does indeed have Cathedral’s schedule ranked as the number one toughest in the state. CG’s is 6th.
  15. Dang, that didn’t age well. And he probably already had his post written and ready and couldn’t wait to make it public. Facts always get in the way of good fiction.
  16. Although they would only need to supply 11 players and 1 coach to handle Manual. So yeah, playing 2 is possible.
  17. Why you all not sticking with the narrative and spoiling DT's thread? You know it's all about what's on paper and who has the most offers. Talent on the field is irrelevant. I l look forward to an exciting matchup on the NE side of Indy that should be a close game (until around 7:20 pm).
  18. I was so hoping my alma mater Greyhounds would get to match up with the school I now support, having lived here for 38 years and have 4 children graduate, the Avon Orioles. But it most likely won’t happen as Carmel will be favored to beat Pike and Brownsburg to win at Avon. Carmel/Brownsburg is what everyone wants, and maybe I do as well. One more chance for the HCC to rise above. But, Bburg/Avon is such a huge rivalry, you never know. Here’s to a safe and healthy tournament. I know many of you never thought most teams would still be healthy and playing for Thanksgiving weekend.
  19. Don’t know how you can really justify any separation of the 3 schools at the top? A 3-way conference champion is only fitting.
  20. I thought re-classification would be in 2022? I understood Carmel would be in Sectional 5 for 2 seasons before going back to the north?
  21. Certainly looks like Carmel has solidified the #2 spot in the MIC. And I’m not going too far out on a limb to say NC/LN are the next 2.
  22. Certainly won’t be the first time Westfield has been a thorn in the side for SAC teams.
  23. Agreed. What does it matter that you see your ping pong ball live? You're supposed to be preparing for your next opponent.
