This is the fifth season since I moved away, but for years prior to that I never had trouble street parking within a mile of the stadium's south gate. I always used the streets south of the old nine hole golf course that sits on the western edge of campus. Can't say if there are new street parking ordinances in South Bend that will pose a challenge. 1 Quote

Night games in general. Starts at 8pm, which means it will be close to midnight by the time it's over. If it's a close game you feel compelled to stay. Could be 1am by the time you get out of traffic, 3am back to Fort Wayne. Or pay $400 for a room at the Day's Inn, probably the best bet. Shipshewana for around $150, but still. Too damn late for me. Recliner, fireplace, pajamas, restroom and kitchen facilities steps away. Not a hard choice. I'm not 25 anymore. 1 1 Quote

Just so I'm clear, that's not the closest I could get, but it was, in my opinion, the most hassle-free and literally free. The stadium sits about a half mile inside the campus boundary so it's not exactly analogous to the dropped into the middle of a city situation you get in Ann Arbor. 2 Quote

Then hoof it through the tailgaters in the lots south of the stadium. Lots of parking north of the campus, and they shuttle bus to the stadium. 2 Quote

If you have to give Woodson credit for anything it's him somehow being 3-3 vs Purdue. Archie Miller being 0-9 against Purdue is something I will never forgive him for. 1 Quote

There didn't seem to be much backup plan after Stevens. How do you tell an IU legend like Woodson "no"? You don't. You give him Fife as an assistant and Matta as the head of basketball operations. Both only lasted a year. Now you're left with an NBA guy with little college coaching experience. I'm thinking this is his last season. They're not even fun to watch. Gimmie Butler and Purdue............now that's good basketball. Quote

He's going to be ousted here once his term is over. There will be a new IU bball coach next year. 2 Quote
Komets2727 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Indiana 28 - Notre Dame 20, I think IU will move the ball well against the Irish defense with a couple long pass plays helping out. Defensively, the Hoosiers will stack the box to stop the run and make the Irish QB beat them thru the air. A late defensive stop by the Hoosiers will seal the victory. Having said that, if this game was in Bloomington as it should have been, IU would have won comfortably. 1 Quote

BTF Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 I'll say it again Temp. What he did with a bunch of kids from JM and the leftovers from the train wreck that Allen left was nothing less than greatness. Deep down, you know this man is dangerous. Quote
