😂 ok Bob.  I didn’t call you a “lefty”.  But I obviously hit a nerve calling you out on your racist comment.  Oh well.

Guessing he feels so honored to make your list.  Lanning  and Cignetti are simply crushed that they didn’t make it…

BTW, Coach Freeman is a huge Bobref fan…

Lanning/Cignetti…studio gangsters.

Masters at the locker room speech/hot mic quote and then turtle up at midfield in winner take all contests.

Doubtful, Freeman was on "thin ice" with Bob back in September.

Found some good ones in the ND thread. Unfortunately, couldn't find any good ones from you @temptation. Here's a few though:

@Footballking16 on Notre Dame replacing Kelly with Freeman. I wonder which coach he'd go into battle with now.

Had the same concerns with Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame after trying to replace a top college football coach.” Sept 8, 2024

@Komets2727  C'mon man! This coaching staff is looking no less than brilliant.

“For you domers out there, your head coaches recently couldn’t coach PeeWee football. Overmatched doesn’t begin to describe it. Lose at home to Marshall, Check. Lose at home to Stanford, Check. Lose at home to Northern Illinois, Check. There are just no words for the ineptitude in South Bend.” September 10, 2024

@Bobref  How bout now?

Based on today’s result, I’m anticipating Finebaum to say, “See, I told you Georgia didn’t belong in the playoffs”

And Oregon? I'm loving this. IU's looking pretty good.

Marcus Freeman after the Sugar Bowl about being one of two Black coaches competing in the Orange Bowl semifinal:

"Your color shouldn’t matter. Your evidence of your work should."

Liking this guy more and more by the minute…not taking the media’s bait.

I was a supporter of the decision to make him head coach, knowing there would have to be growing pains along the way, but I found myself wondering if he would actually make it after the NIU loss and some public comments early in the season.

Into year three, Freeman always seemed like he was trying to fit into the idea of what being the head coach at Notre Dame is. He seemed to be acting out what he thought the head coach at Notre Dame should be like. In the aftermath of losing to NIU, he seemed to become more certain in himself and what the program needed, and I think that's when he figured out who he would be as the head coach at Notre Dame––he's making the role fit him.

Anyone who truely knew what was going on knew that LSU's ultimate agenda was to get both Kelly AND Freeman. Notre Dame knew they couldn't let that happen. They knew they were taking a risk by hiring a guy with no head coaching experience. But they also knew they couldn't lose Freeman to LSU.

It's easy to throw a guy under the bus when he loses to Marshall in year one. Even eaiser when he loses to NIU in year two. There won't be any "fire Freeman" talk if ND loses to Purdue in year three. Freeman is young, he's going to get better, players love him, and there's not a program in the country who wouldn't want him to be their head coach.

Good win for Mr. Kiser, but I see some androgenetic alopecia going on. And so young.

And my spouse thinks he is absolutely dreamy. She loved it when Freeman and Sam Hartman were in the same frame during games.

Sam Hartman spent WAY too much time on his appearance for a football player. Kind of glad he was one and done.

He’s working as a male model now. Beats the heck out of trying to keep a 300 lb. guy from tearing your face off.

Can't say I disagree. It just seemed like he was trying to be a model and a football player at the same time during football games. I'm happy for him that he chose the path most befitting to him.

It turns out multiple officials got the potential targeting/targeting calls wrong.
