It wasn’t an illegal signal. But it was a fair catch signal. A clean miss. Talked about it with the crew afterwards, and how we can make sure we get that one. Had the signal been seen, the ball would have been blown dead, and the receiving team would have 1st and 10 at the spot of the catch. It’s not a fair catch, but the ball is dead.

Now 7-7. New Pal’s QB knocked out of the game for the time being after a ferocious hit.

New Pal leads Merrillville 17-14 at the half. Merrillville scored on a 55 yd. pass from their backup QB  with 30 sec. left in the half, and will get the ball to open the 3rd quarter. Interesting to see which QB starts for them.

EDIT: Just got the word Merrillville’s starting QB out for the rest of the game.
