Possibly.  That hasn't been revealed yet.   So far most of the sentiments I have heard from Frankfort citizens regarding has been less than positive.

I think this is less about a grand conspiracy to elimate cash than it is just being lazy.  Now they don't have to do all the things necssary to manage a cash box and run to the bank.  It's more about basic human effort.

I’ve also heard some say it eliminates the ability for the cash to be stolen. The less hands you have handling your money the less people you have to worry about breaking your trust.

Despite all of that, I still prefer the old school ways. The horror stories are so few and far between.

This is really going to cut into their revenue. As a parent I can take my three kids to the game, give them each a $10, and not expect anything back. What I can’t do is give them each a debit card and I’m not going to make multiple trips down to the concession stand during the game. For an athletic department already facing a decrease in revenue at the gate, this seems like a very surprising decision.

The not having to handle cash was given as a reason by school administrators for the change.  That and the insipid "a lot of other schools are doing it so we should too" .........

And the move to a Central Bank Digital Currency means the end of personal freedom as we know it.

Enjoy your Government backed Social Credit Score.  At least until you do something the government doesn't like and your cost for some good (gas, food, etc.) goes up, or you are denied access to some service, or denied entry to some venue. 

This will be the future of a cashless, CBDC society.   It is already starting in China.

As a travel sports parent....you've gotta love combinations of "cash only" entry fee, combinded with the "no cash" concessions 😁
