LAST YEAR'S SAGARIN RATINGS: Columbus North, 84.18, 24th overall, 14th in 6A. Gibson Southern, 67.15, 69th overall, 10th in 3A.
SERIES LAST 35 YEARS: Columbus North, 1-0
LAST MEETING: Columbus North, 48-6, Aug. 21, 2020.

I haven’t seen anyone post about this game.  Should be a big one with 2 great teams trying to start their seasons off on the right foot.

With the two "new" lineman, does GS have the beef in the trenches to compete with these larger schools.  (CN and NA)

Seemed to recall that Whiteland and CN kind of pushed them around last year.

The scores were worse than the actual play.   Part of the problem last year though was that 1) we had like nine new starters on defense (this year we return seven) and 2) Covid offseason really hurt the team.  The offseason 7on7 schedule for the team gives the offense and defense hundreds of reps when it comes to route timing and also our defensive coverage. 

I think this year will be a much different game and a very competitive one at that

It’s weird not seeing the “6’3 300lb NT” for our DL…especially since GS is going to a 4-3 defense

Similar to what I said in the Luers/Carroll thread, Columbus North BETTER win this one...especially after the quotes from Bless in @DT's interview a couple of weeks back.

Not a North fan, obviously, but I have a fairly close connection to the team. I'm excited to hear how Cooper Horn does. Big time basketball player/athlete that is playing football this fall.

I believe North's O-Line is going to be pretty big this year. The big difference between the 2 schools and for this game is, Can GS sustain 4 quarters of North running the football and subbing out players that are decent sized. This is a great test for GS being a 3A school playing a much larger school. Hoping for a good competitive game with no injuries for either team.

From the article I read on the scrimmage between North and Greenwood, North scored 9 times while holding Greenwood scoreless.
