  1. IMO, @DT has done more to pump life into the GID than the next 3 posters anyone can name combined. The idea to obtain interviews from all these coaches was brilliant, worthy of TA. We all owe DT, whether you like the point of view he takes in other posts or not.

  4. I figured we get the conversation started here at HNAC Central . . . The 2021 Hoosier North Athletic Conference season will be upon us before we know it. Who ya'll got in scrimmage? Then Week #1 features two games as HNAC openers - NJSP at Culver Community and Winamac at Knox. All the remaining HNAC teams face non-conference foes to start the season. Friday, Aug. 20 LaVille at Bremen, 7 pm Cass at Pioneer, 7 pm North Judson at Culver ©, 7 pm South Central at Triton, 7:30 pm West Central at Caston, 7 pm Winamac at Knox ©, 7:30 pm There will be no new faces in charge of the eight HNAC football programs to start 2021. Will Porter returns for his second season at Caston after the Comets finished 3-8 overall and won its first round sectional game for the first time since 2014. Mike Zehner is back for his sixth season at Culver after the Cavaliers finished 3-8 overall. Russ Radtke is ready for his second season on the sidelines at Knox after a 6-5 mark a year ago. It is the fifth straight winning season for Redskin Football. Will Hostrawser is the HNAC veteran, returning for his ninth season in Lakeville following a 6-2 record. It is the seventh straight winning season for Lancer Football since Hostrawser took over the reins to start the 2013 season. Brett Lambert comes back for his third season as the boss at North Judson-San Pierre. Lambert guided the BlueJays to six of seven victories before a narrow second round loss to Winamac in the sectional. Adam Berry continues in his sixth season at Pioneer. The Panthers closed the 2021 season at 12-2 overall and have 25 consecutive winning seasons dating back to 1995. Pioneer made quite the schedule adjustment last year due to COVID, getting the better part of Chesterton and New Haven in Week 2 and Week 3, respectively, en route to a run to the semi-state round before dropping a 42-34 decision at Fort Wayne Luers. Though Randy Younis is in his 14th season at Triton, Younis is in his second go-round following a six-year break from 2013-2018. Younis is currently in his third year upon his second run pacing the sidelines of Trojan Football. John Hendryx is back for his second year at Winamac. Hendryx took the Warriors to the 2021 sectional title before a 37-32 loss to Lafayette Central Catholic in the regional round. It was the first sectional trophy for Winamac since 2016. As the July workouts begin in full force, any newcomers inside the locker room? Any preseason conference predictions? Who has the best defense in the HNAC coming back? Where will the HNAC offense stand? Looking forward to a more normal season ahead in 2021! as always, the game is better from_the_sidelines007

  5. This guy ^^^ is like Ricky Henderson or The Jimmy. Speaks in the 3rd person. Love it. 😂

  6. I am looking forward to seeing the impact NIL has on recruiting. It may be that having opportunities in place for student athletes to monetize their college experience to the greatest extent will confer a sizable recruiting advantage. This, in turn, could operate to break the stranglehold the big 3 have on 5 star talent, and distribute that talent more evenly. We shall see.

  7. It would be good to have that post-season rivalry again.

  9. Im partial to donations of losing the bet to the upcoming GID yearly drive, but that is me Also: Marcus Freeman number 1 priority is to secure Drayk Bowmen from right down the road at a Catholic institution about 90 mins away and having him NOT go to Clemson or OSU https://247sports.com/player/drayk-bowen-46103028/

  11. Winamac defeated NJSP 14-8 in sectional championship at NJSP. Pioneer defeated Chesterton 20-16 in Week #2 and lost to New Haven 32-28 in Week #3. Both games played at Pioneer . . . Winamac and LaVille were unable to play. as always, the game is better from_the_sidelines007

  12. My only reason for posting this is to break up the seemingly uninterrupted string of Tiger fan posts...that, and to give a shout out to Tango, patriarch of the eastern branch of the family tree who floated across Pigeon Crick awhile back and never found their way home...🤧 Hope your Summer is going well, Tango!

  13. Proposal aside, one thing that cannot be debated is that teams 25-32 in 6A have ZERO shot at a state championship under the current format. ZERO.

  14. My mom Phyllis was out of work when Xanadus shut down for the covids. I applied for free or reduced funions, nachos and wings but got denied. They said our trailer was too upscale because it’s a double wide. I gotta go

  15. I can see the appeal for Anderson. If I were in administration at any lower level football school - Marian, Anderson, Franklin, UIndy - I would want as many people on campus over summers as possible. It makes sense for Anderson since they hosted the Colts training camp for so many years.

  16. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1W2hHUwEK6mtKuIJ_ikB3hEMyePnZV9KwgUCXUByf-E4/edit#gid=893241732 Sectionals aren't updated. But I'm pretty sure I've updated everyone that's getting turf this coming year. Was a little worn the last time we played at Enlow. I loved the stadium though. I would have loved it more if Lindauer would have gotten the flu. Shew.. he could play. And both Combs, obviously.
