  1. Friday, WHME released its HS schedule for the year. As you'll see, they left the last three weeks open to give themselves some flexibility.

  3. Restaurant tipping economic model is bad, and we’re missing the chance to end it https://www.indystar.com/story/opinion/columnists/james-briggs/2021/07/25/tipping-servers-bartenders-isnt-going-away-after-covid-pandemic/8073397002/ Yet another race to the bottom initiative by the socialist left, where mediocrity is celebrated as "equity".

  4. Under Coach John Lidy, who coached Castle for 30 years, Castle only won the SIAC title 4 (5) times. 1975 SIAC "B" - did not include the city teams 1982 - 3A State Champions 1983 1984 - Co-Champions - tied with Mater Dei. Both teams did not play each other that year 2002 Not sure what is meant by having the most resources. They don't even have field turf. There seems to be more to it than meets the eye.

  5. Just landed 4* RB G'Bran Payne from Cincinnati LaSalle. Chose IU over Florida, Alabama, and Northwestern.

  6. Interesting Castle hasn’t won the siac in 9 years. Biggest school, most resources, and 1st every year in siac all around sports trophy. Head scratcher IMO. It would be different if they didn’t have good numbers with some dudes.

  7. yeah but I used to go sectional by sectional... my time is unfortunately consumed by too much "other Stuff" these days to really dive like I used. Moving up to 2A messed me up. I knew 1A like the back of my palm. LOL

  9. If we’re talking about football, Oklahoma State is no “reject.” They would immediately challenge Wisconsin in the B1G West, as presently constituted.

  10. I think of them when I talk about what I would like to see happen. I know it never will, but do feel it should. If East Allen would consolidate into one, MAYBE two high schools, they could go in with the larger SAC schools, along with Warsaw to form a new 5A/6A conference. Wishful thinking, I know.

  11. I’m not surprised even in the slightest. There are lots of data to show P&Ps in our state (when coupled with quality coaching, tradition, support etc.) consistently punch far above their weight class vs what their enrollment number alone might indicate.

  12. Man, this guy is an all star! No BS here. He has the stuff.. I’m reeling in all these interviews, but this guy may take the cake.

  13. "Momentum" is as good as your next game, changes all the time, and is way overrated. After 2018, Purdue had all the momentum in the series. IU has it now. None of that really matters going forward. One verbal commitment doesn't change a thing in that regard.

  14. Context is everything with Brohm. Flipped an awful program to two straight bowl games his first two years then had two years of unprecedented injuries/Covid. Was he perfect, no. Is he actually currently on a hot seat? Absolutely not.

  15. I don't know if you've heard anything about this but it appears we have have a new kid that should help the Miners on the line. I had heard that a family was moving here from the northern part of the state with a big kid who plays football. I don't know from where exactly. But I was at the field Tuesday evening to watch the scrimmage with Southmont. I didn't stay very long. Too hot for me and I was tired from mowing my lawn. Anyway, there was this big kid with the Linton squad. I had heard he was 6' 4 and about 250. He's every bit of that. Legs like tree trunks. Trabant seemed to be giving him some individual coaching. I don't know what grade he's in either. He's got fairly long, blond curly hair. Really looks good in his uni. I hope he's a player. We need all the help we can get. As for the scrimmage, as I said I didn't stay long but the Miners had the first set of downs and moved the ball well and went down field for a score. On Southmont's set Linton was stopping them without allowing much yardage. For what's that's worth. And for what it's worth I'm now in my tenth decade of watching Miner football. 100 seasons of the bottom of the pit to the top of the mountain and everything in between.

  16. A 52 minute long Youtube vid is not on my list of "gotta do that" today. Especially if the topic is "Racist History of Austerity Politics". Everyone knows there were mistakes made getting the US to the place it is today.

  17. I'm fine with that. As long as I keep getting my muda security check. The best is yet to come.
