  1. I'll kindly pass, not worth the time. I just know that a team was up this past weekend 35-0 and lost. Gotta go for the jugular. As a coach, I'm running the score up to 49-0 in the first half. If I have an opportunity to score again before halftime, I'm taking a knee, the game is over. If I'm up 35-0 in the second half, I'm letting the 2nd string run down the clock.

  2. That is the most fun I've had watching an IU football game on TV in a long time. I really like what Cignetti is doing in his short time in Btown. Very different mentality. Go Hoosiers!

  3. This should be the most exciting LCC/WL game since 2016, when LCC beat WL 28-25. WL has won the last 7 games and leads the series 37-16. This is the 54th meeting between the two schools. They have played every year since 1959, except for 1995 and 1996 and 2001-2010. It is always hard for LCC to beat WL. Even when LCC won state in 1976, LCC only beat WL 12-6 in (2OT). WL went 5-5 in 1976. October 2, 1976 - It was Homecoming at LCC and Tom Weber scored the TD in the 2nd overtime for LCC. Troy Burgess had 110 yards rushing in the game for LCC. LCC 0-6-0-0-0-6 WL 6-0-0-0-0-0 The largest margin of victory for LCC over WL was in 1994. LCC won 38-7 that year. WL went 0-9 in 1994. Elsner was the QB for LCC. Kevin Sanson, Matt Buche, Tom Vaughan, and Nick Rooze scored for LCC in that game. LCC had 234 yards rushing against WL in 1994. LCC 12-13-7-6 WL 0-7-0-0 The most impressive win over WL was in 1969. LCC went 10-0 that year beat WL 30-0. That was the only loss for WL in 1969. That was the 14th straight win for LCC when they beat WL. WL only had 26 yards rushing in that game. Delaney had a 65 yard put return for LCC. Dewenter and Mills were the QB's for LCC and Metzinger was the Fullback. LCC 0-16-0-14 WL 0-0-0-0

  6. Thanks for checking in on that. It's greatly appreciated. I see that out of the HHC, New Albany was part of that

  7. Just looked into it. Bloomington was one of the ten founding members of the SIAC back in 1935 (along with Bicknell, Evansville Bosse, Evansville Central, Evansville Reitz, Linton-Stockton, New Albany, Princeton, Sullivan, and Vincennes-Lincoln). Bloomington left the conference in the summer of 1964. Looks like the conference membership peaked right before Bloomington left. The 1963 standings show 20 teams: Bedford, Bloomington, Boonville, Evansville Bosse, Evansville Central, Evansville Harrison, Evansville Mater Dei, Evansville Memorial, Evansville North, Evansville Rex Mundi, Evansville Reitz, Huntingburg, Jasper, Mount Vernon (Posey), New Albany, North Knox, Princeton, Tell City, Vincennes-Lincoln, and Washington.

  8. Absolutely. Catch rule is the same at all levels, except that the NFL requires both feet inbounds.

  9. I'm with you on what happened under the redistricting, but it is what it is, so I just move on hoping for the best. The only stats you will find on this game are the ones that HTO published and they gave just the passing, receiving, and rushing team stats and player stats, but they don't give stats like penalties, etc. Unless you are close to the team, there is no place to find season stats, and South doesn't publish game or season stats, which makes it difficult to ferret out that information. It's not like it used to be. The only game stats we get out of the HTO is when South is in what I will call their "game of the week." Teams not in their game of the week don't get hardly any coverage outside of their X account and that is often limited. A big problem for HTO is when Gannett, which owns USA Today, bought several regional newspapers including the H-T and then they gutted the staffs. The H-T now has a very limited sports staff because of that especially when it comes to high schools sports. IU is their primary focus.

  11. Indiana could be 6-0 going into Maryland. I'll be on the conservative side and say 5-1. Rourke is looking really good, seems to be an upgrade over Sorsby. Cross, Price, Sarratt, Williams and Cooper Jr looking solid. I hope McCulley can get healthy. Defense is looking fine. Just need to cut back on penalties.

  12. Lutheran was up 49-0 at halftime, and the final score was 49-8. I propose an amendment to the RUTS methodology that exempts any team whose halftime score equals their final score.

  13. You do a great job being fair to both teams given the current state of mccsc athletics , every year when this week rolls around I try to disappear and live in the past😆. Had I broke down this game I would have said something along the lines of "bhsn beats bhss with the aid of the mccsc districting committee, who pillaged long time panther communities that are closer to bhss and districted them to bhsn. " I remember the day when bhsn was actually in a different conference and class. I actually am more inclined to follow other teams as I get older as well as the panthers . You know no school board is gonna redistrict schools such as ft wayne snider , etc etc. Actually watched some of the miracle comeback win the artesians had over decatur central . Not that I'm an artesian fan but more of a fan of communities ties that translate to local schools. That being said is there so.ewhere online we can see season/game stats for south?

  14. Been going to indiana football games since the 1990's. After a quick count I'm 100% positive I've watched 112 different indiana high school football teams teams play. I'm sure there are some i've seen but dont remember. It helps I've been attending mostly all state championship finals football Games in the past 25 years.

  15. It’s getting tougher as after four weeks of data, the push and pull between head to head competition and quality of wins becomes the debate. Example: Fishers beats HSE but loses to Pike who lost to BD who lost to Avon who lost to HSE. Feel pretty confident in my top 9…after that not so much.

  18. My oldest is a Freshman at IU this year. I much rather enjoy a Fall day with her in scenic Bloomington this year than take in the clown show at Purdue. Offense looked very good in Pasadena tonight. Really intriged by the new hire.

  19. Fair points, but I'm still testing the IOL market before drafting a Punter in the 4th. We'll have to agree to disagree. Agreed. OT isn't a worry on either side. The IOL is a major liability. Maybe it was just a bad matchup against Tennessee's DL, but it's hard for CW to play when the IOL immediately colappses on him. I'm hoping see improved OL play tomorrow night and if the offense put points on the board. I'm sick of watching crappy offense.

  20. They’re like a Triple A shortstop who wants to make the show. They make great plays. But then an easy ground ball goes right between their legs. You don’t see those guys in the big leagues.

  22. Yes, the ball is dead when K possesses it. I couldn’t see the PF. I’m sitting in a palapa on the beach in the Dominican Republic right now, and the glare of the sun off the Caribbean makes it hard to make out much detail. Truth. 😂🦜🌴🧉
