New Pal and Cathedral is probably the de facto state championship game and even that game might not be close. Cathedral extremely banged up right now but do believe they get a majority of those guys back for this potential matchup. If Cathedral can stay on schedule and not get behind the sticks, could have a decent ballgame on our hands. Team is not built to come from behind with its limited passing game, couple early scores and stops for New Pal could lead to an ugly outcome. Warren would mercy rule Muncie.3 points

Congratulations to Jeff Brohm. He's a terrific coach who always seems to pull off a big upset every season. Mario Cristobal is a better recruiter than he is an in-game coach. That Georgia Tech loss in 2023 where all they had to do was take a knee, yet they ran it and fumbled the ball is inexcusable. He always seems to lose a couple games that he shouldn't every season. Also, you can see how much better Oregon has been under Dan Lanning than they were under Mario Cristobal.3 points

At the risk of being "OUTTED"... When grown men believe that THEY are still playing the game, rather than taking a subdued/mature approach to COACHING UP players. It's a recipe for disaster! Brevard was absolutely on pace and on point for the program to achieve the success that has been ascribed to them. He left for Pike. I've had issues at EVERY level, and every staff it seems. Questions about simple things; A focus on minutia (i.e.: their kickoff ball isn't legal, even when I personally showed them why it IS legal in the regular season, but not the playoffs); Home clock operators not starting/stopping things or the play clock ALL game (yet when its less than 2 minutes in the 4th) now someone notices the situation that I have had all night. Of course after every play I'm yelling towards the press box to start the play clock for the past 36/38 minutes. Uniform issues. On field disrespect of officials, and not having the backup of the staff when told it's an issue.2 points

Serious question. Seems like a double standard. Notre Dame self reports some players cheating on a test (which happens at all universities, but on a larger scale), and the NCAA makes them vacate 21 victories from 2012-2013. The Michigan cheating scandal is much more massive than what happened at Notre Dame (and secretly at every university in the country), but no victories are taken away? How does the NCAA determine which violations constitute stripping away victories?2 points

They've played 5 times over 5 decades. It wouldn't matter if Valpo was 4-1, Snider's still the better program. And we both know that if they played every year, Snider would have the winning record. But again, I really don't care. I have too much respect for the Region to continue this nonsense back and forth. Good luck to Merrillville and Crown Point. I'll be rooting for them both. I'm out.1 point

The NCAA of today has very little power with the Power 4 conference teams. Michigan chose a great time to violate rules. Temp knows that and the the actions of UM are not defendable. Thats why he deflects, laughs, scoffs at another team, etc. But, he will never step up and admit UM was wrong in their actions. That’s just not in his DNA.1 point

I wonder what the post season for both areas is overall, not just when the two conferences play each other. SAC bringing home 23 state titles is very impressive, and I'm sure the region has more than a respectable amount. Head to head in the playoffs is a good start, but what would be the overall playoff success of the entire conference from a certain time till now. It would be a lot of data collecting, but that would be the true test to determine which area is the 2nd and 3rd best in the state. I think it is easy to say they are the next two areas after the Indy areas to historically have the best football. The only area you could possibly make an argument for is Evansville maybe but might be a stretch there.1 point

Well, after what JQWL has said, I guess it’s just what I think. I’m not sure how it would benefit Salem to withdraw themselves from these competitions.1 point

Carmel was awful last night. Just watched the game. So many penalties. They were lucky to get out of LC with the win. Brownsburg is back at the top of my list. I didn't particularly think it was close between Carmel and Brownsburg, but it looks like I was incorrect (as Temp would say, "like always").1 point

Wild finish in the Lapel/Eastern Hancock game last night. The last minute of the game is well worth the watch. E Hancock with the ball down 21-20, the final drive features one of the best catches of the year. E Hancock nearly pulled off the victory twice. The rematch would be in the sectional 38 semifinal. The EHSN team does a VERY good job with these games. Not sure if there are any students involved in this crew, but they do a great job every week!1 point

Yep….just have to worry about protection and coverage. You usually need bigger guys to protect and they are not as good in coverage like a punt team is. I saw the play too. The kick did not miss by a whole lot. It was on target, but short. Even for a miss, it was an impressive kick.1 point

I am pretty sure that @Rodney wouldn't have been THIS guy. I envision him being more of a fan of the game, and enjoying the atmosphere. Then making a rational approach and understanding of what happened and what was going on. The 'online' @Rodney probably is NOTHING like the 'in-person' one...no matter what he says.1 point

Eh, I do remember earlier in the year you touting all of the talent the River Rats had and how they are a sleeper in 5A, but hey, I am a 6 pack and 3 mud slides in right now so who knows…1 point

If you came on here and talked about Caramel struggling or any of the power Indy group, I would buy what you are selling. As it is, I feel like you are an Avon lady selling my wife crap she doesn’t need and taking coin out of my pocket Not always you in particular I am calling out as there are other touting the superiority all of the time. If the slipper fits, wear it, if not, slide it over to Temp… lol1 point

East with a major upset. They beat BNL 20-17. They intercepted BNL’s QB four times. He had one TD run and 0 TD passes. Crazy.1 point
