  1. If "sports" is ever divorced from the schools...the kids that need sports the most, will have very little access to it.

  2. What would have happened if Notre Dame.... Simply beat Miami? Or Texas A&M at home? Played in a conference perhaps? Didn't play a dog**** schedule the last 2.5 months out of the year?

  3. I'm talking about the recent coaching firing at Penn State. James Franklin wasn't involved in the previous Penn State scandal. If we want to talk about pedophile sex scandals and covering it up, we'll need to include Ohio State. And one of the enablers is now a US Congressman. At Michigan, it appears there is a cheating pandemic. In both football and marriage.

  5. Round 1: Notre Dame Battles Sooners for 7pt Win in Norman Round 2: Injury Plagued Defensive Line gets Hammered by Notre Dame Run Game: Irish Advance Round 3: Texas Tech's Valiant Effort Comes up Short: Notre Dame Returns to Title Game for Rematch with Ohio State (next year would have been three years in a row) Championship: Defense Shines as Carr and Love Propel Irish to National Title: Statue to be Erected in Freeman's honor Sidenote: Miami is playing with a chip on their shoulder. Nothing would surprise me with this team. Very deserving of a playoff bid. Alabama, ESPN, and the SEC are a farce.

  6. This is HUGE.......Coordinators that see the level of success IU has often end up in head coaching positions in a short amount of time. One of the keys to Cignetti's success has been his ability to limit the amount of turnover on his staff. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/article/indiana-football-report-indiana-signs-defensive-coordinator-bryant-haines-to-a-new-contract-makes-him-one-of-the-nations-highest-paid-assistants-266275740/?fbclid=IwY2xjawOpkylleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEe3BGZONNVRCBTmD1l6s_tokecyLrQmochwalr2yGHdcNglSb9Obvf7LDor_c_aem_KzlrECfzFzRo1DqZtgMT_Q

  7. No problem. I actually respect you even if it’s not reciprocated.

  8. In that case YES, and it all seems to intertwine with Harbaugh .

  9. Welcome to the revolving door of Temp’s excuses. One days it’s this, next day it’s that. Tomorrow it will be something else. Laughable how a supposed blue blood program has fans using the youth excuse…

  10. When did you turn on him as Leader for the future ? Until this all went down: 9-3 with youngest roster in nation etc etc

  11. Yep , look at the scores of their games , ND beat them much worse than ANY SEC school . Arkansas was actually very competitive in a lot of their games . Not with ND though , we got their coach fired .

  12. Also funny how temp said we should of played Michigan , could of had another quality win .That's funny as we beat a team that mud stomped Michigan .

  13. Yep and went all the way to the Championship , Beating one of the SEC's best teams and BIG 10's second and 3rd best team's .

  15. Now do the Boston College game. Didn't Notre Dame get in the playoff after losing to NIU last year? NIU...let that sink in.

  16. We as fans and the media seen the improvements ND made from games 1 & 2 to game 5 and beyond . Game one vs Miami freshman QB making his first college start and a brand new DC in his first game at ND . It took Miami a Circus catch for a TD and a last second FG to beat us in Miami . Just look at game 5 for ND. Notre Dame - 56 Ark - 13 ( IN Feyetville ) Tenn- 34 Ark- 31 A&M -45 Ark - 42 Auburn-33 Ark - 24 Miss St-38 Ark - 35 LSU - 23 Ark - 22 Texas - 52 - Ark - 37 Missu - 31 Ark - 17 ND's win over the Razorbacks is much more impressive than any of these 7 SEC schools .

  18. Lots of talk focused on Lincoln Riley becoming the new head coach at Michigan. Close second is Kalen Deboer. Both are upgrades over Moore, but not sure how Michigan fans would feel about either one…

  19. Eh, I think the best 2 wins in the country are at Oregon and Ohio State. I would much rather play Georgia than Ohio State or Oregon

  20. Wrong, Notre Dame isn't there because of Bama . The fix was done the week prior when they barely beat a bad Auburn team and jumped in front of ND . It was done to protect Bama at all costs . Why do people keep mentioning Miami ? Fact is , Miami and ND should be there .

  21. I think the young lady's moral compass should be investigated. She wasn't forced to have sex. She could have said something. She could have left. I understand that I know little of the situation, but something drove Moore to his insanity. And it probably had nothing to do with this young lady being 100% truthful. Again, no job is worth compromising your values. Again, this is from the outside looking in. I hope both individuals find peace.

  22. Indeed he is: https://www.indystar.com/story/opinion/columnists/james-briggs/2025/12/12/braun-redistricting-trump-senators/87727524007/ It must suck to be a lame-duck governor only about year into your administration.

  23. What a cluster*$#@. I hate it when real world stuff spills over into the make believe world that is our sports passions.

  25. Good stuff: Of course we shouldn’t penalize Alabama for getting blown out in its CCG—the ESPN owned SEC makes ESPN more money! Of course we should penalize BYU for getting blown out in its CCG. The Big 12 won’t make ESPN more money! Of course the Big 12 is only a 1 bid league! And even better—penalizing BYU means we can make an excuse to swap Notre Dame (for which ESPN doesn’t own the rights) for Miami (for which ESPN DOES own the rights). Result: ESPN can better line its own pockets and invest in its own product. And posters think I'm on an island all by myself: ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips called for CFP expansion after Notre Dame was left out: "If you’re leaving teams out of the Playoff that could win a national championship, then you don’t have the right number." This season screams * . I don't think IU is going to win the title, so I can proudly say I'm going to run this into the ground for the next twelve months. Side note: This isn't near as much about Miami as it is about Alabama. Notre Dame would crush that program by 14+. And they were already 5.5 point favorites going away against Oklahoma. Only irrational people think Irish fans shouldn't be pissed.

  27. He had ATH O LETES! Some of the best athletic talent Southwood ever had on the boys side came through the halls. All homegrown talent. Same group made serious basketball runs as well. That being said...Dave Snyder was a great coach for that group as he let them spread it out and fly. It helped that the Blair kid could throw it anywhere he wanted. Even before that group came through, Coach Snyder was able to utilize the athletes he had in his spread O. John Burris on the basketball side did the same thing as well. Stifling full court press 2/3 zone and let the kids run and shoot....because they could. Both coaches found the scheme that fit the kids. Not as many Jimmy's and Joe's right now.
