I will give the Bears fans props here. Jim Cornelison sings the Anthem, and the fans understood the assignment. Being at a few Blackhawks games in the United Center to hear it is incredible, especially during the playoffs. It started I believe in the late 80's. But was first seen nationally for the 1991 NHL All Star Game in the old Madhouse on Madison, shortly after the outbreak of Desert Storm. It was the same year Whitney sang the Anthem at the Super Bowl. Great stuff

That is my point, nobody was bitching when Indiana had 4-5 year seniors and they were 3-9 every year before Cignetti. The caveat excuse is a joke!!!Every coach in the country could have done what Cignetti did, but not a single one did. Can’t remember the site, but Indiana is not in the top 20 of schools in paying NIL money, yet some would have you believe we broke the bank to get these players. Freaking joke!!! Indiana is at the head of the big boy table now and lots of people don’t like it…

From an AD's perspective it might be easier to just say one year the HCC is home and the next year MIC is home. That way the AD's know in advance if they have to have a crew booked etc. Easier to balance a the rest of your schedule knowing how many home/aways you'd have in advance. However there is absolutley zero "cool" factor in that....coin toss at least adds some excitement.

So, Carmel and Center Grove were exploring other options. The MIC voted them out. The other options fell through. They existed apart. Things changed at most of the institutions from an administrative standpoint in that some of the players moved on, got new administrators, etc. There was a mending fences period that culminated in the reunification. The MIC and Carmel and Center Grove realized they all needed each other again.

Bash, he wasn’t saying you said it, it was me. Indiana had the greatest season in college football history, hands down. It is hard to quantify who is the best team in history as there is no way to measure that as those teams will never play each other, but you can quantify my statement. It is hilarious how people now are trying to discredit IU’s victory. I remember many senior laden Indiana teams that only won 2-3 games against younger, more talented team. All that was said was Indiana was terrible at football…

it is a treat to listen to Jim each year sing Back Home in Indiana at the Indy 500. My seats are pretty close to the location he sings. When he finishes, its usually the 2nd flyover. Sends chills up the body!!

The Hoosiers didn't cover the 8.5 or 7.5 spread, but who cares? It was good to hear 107.5, The Fan's JMV recount his experiences in Miami today. That was a once in a lifetime experience!
