  1. Neutral sites seems to work very well in Ohio. Only their 1st round games (Region quarterfinal) are hosted by top seeds Why would it not work in Indiana? Apathy by schools is the argument I'm reading above.

  2. Possibly, but not for the reasons you've been hounding about for years.

  3. For those who don’t know. Tricky Situations All empty, as mentioned above you consider those who may enter after you, so you go for urinal 1 or 6. Here you have 2 inconsiderate assholes taking 2 middle urinals, leaving you the only option of urinal 6. Here you have a considerate Bro, ideally you want urinal 6, but urinal 5 is acceptable with good reason, like the urinal being next to the main door, or next to the sinks manned by an overly observational toilet attendant. In this situation you have 3 guys nicely spaced out, urinal 2 is being inconsiderate, but you take urinal 1 and turn your back slightly to gain more privacy. Some of you may look at this one and think "surely it's urinal 1", but you are mistaken. Urinal 1 and 3 couples you with the guy at urinal 2. You go for urinal 4 and stay with the pack. In this situation, you wait or use a cubicle. If you need a piss that badly, you'll just have to man up and take the pain.

  4. = certain members have financial interest in businesses impacted by potential school closures. = administration and school board aren’t closely aligned and often times not on the same page (recent basketball coach hiring). = parents choosing to send their kids to other districts given the mess. Glad to see this done though for their Coach who has worked his tail off trying to build something and community support.

  5. Thinking outside the box a bit; let's say there are a number of teams that have shut down for the season because of the number of cases they have in program, school, or even district. The IHSAA could consider adjusting classes; whatever that would look like. It could make for some interesting post season match ups.

  6. If it heads in that direction, the IHSAA could cut the regular season to as little as 4 games. That’s the minimum # needed to qualify for the tournament under the current bylaws. But there will be a tournament. Economics dictates that.

  7. Yes, they have a class at Webo and they have the school's permission. They do Road Games also (would assume the hosting school has given permission)... I know there have been places they couldn't do broadcast because the facilities wouldn't accomodate... I know they couldn't broadcast the State Title games as the IHSAA has the televised rights (would assume the agreement with Fox Sports Indiana prohibits other televised broadcasts, but I believe they could have done Audio only).

  8. Not OT since my question is regarding playoffs, but just came to mind so here goes. Does Indiana use neutral sites for the playoff's? I'm guessing they don't. We do down here and I think it's a great idea. Reduced travel time by ~1/2 (this is the biggest benefit IMO), you can usually can find a decent stadium with enough seating, smaller schools get to play a few games in a "big" stadium environment. Both coaches have to agree on the site, obviously, I don't see a down side. Apologies for the digression.

  10. I know from talking to an acquaintance who is a government school teacher that basically zero learning happened from March to May at at least one area elementary school. Not all schools can have an expensive e-learning option, so at this elementary school homework packets were picked up by parents, taken home for their children to complete, then returned for the the teachers supposedly to review/grade. However the homework that was returned to the school was never seen by the teachers, it was thrown away or incinerated. So it basically provided 'busy work' for the students, and a way for government school administrators to tell the state that they are actually trying to "educate" their students.

  11. Also the only state in the union who refused to change times for decades to keep the cow milking on the same schedule. Indiana is a central time zone state pretending to be an eastern one.

  12. Michigan and Kentucky are EST. If you enjoy sunset at 4pm in December switch us. Just saying.

  13. DST isn't the issue...the issue is the SW and NW corners of the state being on CST. I think it is nuts that any of Indiana is on EST...just my opinion.

  14. Granted not all called it a hoax; Hannity led that charge; Regan is actually on leave because of her comments; but downplaying the severity of it the way the network did was just as irresponsible. https://www.thedailybeast.com/fox-business-anchor-trish-regan-on-hiatus-after-calling-coronavirus-an-impeachment-scam

  16. Easy there, Big Shooter, Ol' Bucky is starting to get some 4 star TE and WR prospects taking offers. With Graham Mertz (Wisconsin's first ever true 4 star QB signee) waiting in the stables, Barry Ball will evolve into a more pass friendly offense.starting in 2021. If the OC knows he has another stud like this Allen kid hanging in the stables too, doubt the OC would go back to the old ways of run 40 times a game that soon.....
