  1. From the article: For basketball the answer is one. History has proven it.

  2. Oh, don't worry, there is no bigger wagon than a Reitz football bandwagon.

  3. I would assume (and you know what that means) that the last two years would be used instead of resetting every two years. Think about how absurd the SF currently is. We don't know if Mater Dei has achieved enough success points to be bumped up to 3A. Despite being a runner-up in 2021 and winning 2022, if they lose their regional game this fall, they will remain in 2A. A rolling success factor puts them in 3A for the next two years, regardless of what they do this fall.

  6. If you take back to back years for the rolling success factor does that mean that teams will be moved up and down each season? At least with the current 2 year window, you know who is moving up and down in the next alignment.

  7. Exactly. By competitive/non-competitive I just mean good or bad. They are always good lately. But yes, they've had an impressive run of great teams. Regardless if they are supposed to be "down" or not this year or any future year, I expect them to have a winning record and compete for their sectional. That goes for if they move down to 3A as well obviously. They've done more than enough to merit that expectation. Culture and tradition go a long way.

  8. Pretty cool that all of the major college basketball coaches in the State of Indiana (IU, Purdue, and ND) are all from the state! in 49 other states its just basketball !

  9. No troll. Just not convinced last year or this years Panthers have a big gap on the competition. SWI has had some dominating teams in recent years. I would not put last years Reitz team in that group. They could prove me wrong in 23’. They certainly have a lot of talented dudes Memorial and Vincennes should have great QB play and lots of good athletes around them. North has dudes if they can ever figure out consistent offense. Jasper and Castle are always tough to play, especially on the road. MD will find the pieces by rivalry week and possibly have a say in SIAC title.

  10. Carmel now is playing Christian Brothers out of Missouri week 2. CG has an opening for week 2 and week 7. Still hard to believe that Carmel would rather play an out of state school rather than keep an incredible rivalry going.
