4A outside of New Pal is wide open in the south. Just watched Roncalli escape with a W against Chatard. Should be an interesting season!

Is this a trophy game?

I'm predicting a rushing heavy game. If both teams have a lot of moving parts, then you probably don't have one week to get receivers and QBs on the same page. Also, after all the TOs last week, I don't see Jasper being too aggressive this week. 350-combined yards rushing in this one!

Check Ritter's opponents... they seem to have a hard time even playing a varsity schedule this season.

If HH tried, I'm not sure they could schedule a more "southern" schedule to start the season. So what else is going around the SIAC this week. It seems the injury bug is biting pretty hard for only having played a few games.

What happened in Paradise?

Chatard is tough. They passed the eye test in the win over Brebeuf. For one game, I think Chatard can compete with anyone in the state. They have the most hard-nosed offense, defense, and special teams I've seen, including: Carmel, Westfield, Center Grove, Ben Davis, and Brebeuf Jesuit. I think this will be a very good game. It will be my first time at Roncalli in 20 years. If you're at the game, hit me up! I'll be taking some video, photos, and interviews for TGD. I hope this is the first 70-carry game I've seen this season.

Does Tecumseh have a track? I don't recall, but i do recall the press box angle being too "flat" to the field. Camera shots used not to capture the entire height of a player.

2003 Chatard vs WC... thoughts?

@Bobrefhow do you think those WC and Chatard teams wouldve played?

But do you think Indiana would have 4-8 teams in the Top 100 annually -- instead of 1-2 -- if Indiana played a more "progressive" or out-of-state schedule? If you were to start a 7/8 team conference in Indiana with the best teams and programs, don't you think they would catch up rather quickly? Thus the problem is Indiana's by-laws and scheduling, not any certain lack of nationally competitive squads.

If SOS is the only thing separating Indiana's top teams from national prestige, then that's pretty dang impressive for "a basketball state."
