I can’t wait until Monday night. I am tired of hearing Miami fans say Indiana is overrated and hasn’t played the schedule they have. Freaking joke!!! My prediction for this game is going to sound disrespectful to Miami, it really isn’t, but Indiana  is THAT team this year, Indiana wins 42-10

100%

Bama held Ole Miss to 10 points. Miami gave up 27 and didn't get all that much pressure on the QB from the vaunted DEs everyone talks about. This will be the closest thing to a neutral field IU has faced in the CFP, but I expect IU to roll 48-20. Hoo Hoo Hoo HOOSIERS!!

They should easily clear that opening line of -7.5.   OLD MEN vs Pups  (mostly)

Before the semi-final games were played and they were projecting potential matchups, Indiana was a 5.5 point favorite, after the semi games, they opened at a 7 point favorite, then went to 7.5 and are now an 8.5 point favorite

The Miami game was 3 at game time. They were only off by 31.

Was that just one fan with special needs? That can't be the overall vibe of the fanbase. IU beat Penn State, who in my opinion, could have beaten half the teams in the playoffs. The rest of the schedule speaks for itself. I get it, Miami beat Notre Dame, a team that is still being talked about as had having potential to win the whole thing. But that was over four months ago when the Irish were working with a brand new quarterback and defensive coordinator. If Miami wins this game, it's because they played the best game of their season coupled with Indiana having just an average game.

Miami fan base and media are just off their rockers. Basically saying Indiana had an easy schedule and they haven’t played anyone as good as Miami and that Miami’s schedule is better and has prepared them to handle Indiana.

Best team in the best conference and their schedule was easy? Where are you hearing this from? Can't take someone serious that says Indiana had an easy schedule.

Notre Dame was BY FAR the best team on their schedule up until the playoffs. Barely beating Florida State and losing to Louisville and SMU is a very bad look for Miami. THEN............it happened. Notre Dame was ranked ahead of them in the first playoff ranking and suddenly they started playing like the the team everyone thought they were when they were ranked #2 early in the season. Throw schedules out the window, doesn't even matter. Right now, IU and Miami are playing like the best two teams in the country.

Like I said, I can’t wait. It’s like Alabama fans all over again…

A few reasons I think you're wrong:

1. Miami beat Ohio State by ten. Indiana beat them by the grace of God.

2. Miami is playing with the same chip on their shoulder that Indiana is. Indiana has a bunch of two and three star kids out to prove everyone wrong. Miami was left out of the playoff conversation until the last weak, so they also have reason to prove everyone wrong.

3. People throughout the country were saying Indiana couldn't beat Alabama. Then they were saying they couldn't beat Oregon twice. Now no one is doubting them against Miami and they are heavy favorites. That's a little concerning to me.

I won't doubt the Hoosiers like I have in the past, so here goes:

Indiana 24, Miami 17

Good analysis. Here are some thoughts:

1. Compare the offenses, there is nothing offensively that Miami does better. QB, receivers, running backs, offensive line

2. Compare the defenses. IU’s defense is straight nasty. Gave up 3 points to Alabama, 10 points to Ohio State, Oregon got 22 points, most in garbage time, Iowa 15 points, Illinois 10 points. Indiana has scored almost 500 more points than then their opponents, just ridiculous.

3. Special teams is a big edge to the Hoosiers.

4. Coaching is hugely tilted to IU, not even close.

5. Turnover margin is a big edge to IU.

Look, in a one game shot, sure, anything can happen. Miami deserves to be here. Miami gave up 27 points to Ole Miss when the Rebels only had the ball for 18 minutes of game time in which they gave up 398 yards to Ole Miss. That will not work against IU. How are they stopping IU?

Unless Indiana turns the ball over multiple times, which hasn’t happened all year, Indiana controls this game. I don’t see where Miami holds Indiana below 31 points at the minimum and I can’t see Miami scoring above 21 points in any scenario.

I hope you're right and I'm wrong. I'd much prefer a blowout.

1. Had they met in the playoff, I think the result would be different. I think of how Ohio State played during the regular season last year and cranked it up in the playoffs. I see IU in the same light now. Funny that in both instances, both teams smoked Oregon after a close regular season game.

2. The ACC went all out the last two weeks of the season to promote Miami, especially the last 48 hours of conference championship weekend. They were definitely in the conversation, and I think they were always in. Maybe folks on the committee deny that, but the shift in the rankings with two weeks ago sent the message.

3. Cannot argue that point, but I do think IU is that good.

I am convinced:

Anyone who thought there was a chance Cignetti would go to the NFL wasn't paying much attention. My only concern was Penn State, and that was pretty minor. I'm not sure IU even needed to give the guy a raise to keep him. He seems like a, "meh, 8 million is fine with me," kind of a guy. He's clearly happy in Bloomington and is revered on a Bob Knight type of level. When you have the key to the city, you don't just leave. Advice Brian Kelly and Rich Rodriguez would have been best served following.
