Tommy Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 Here is a topic that has never been discussed before. How long should your community keep your street sign at the entry point of your city or town touting your team or schools achievement? Quote
Tommy Posted September 30, 2025 Author Posted September 30, 2025 (edited) Doe anyone have one that has been up longer than Michigan City Pop Warner? Edited September 30, 2025 by Tommy Quote
23andCounting Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 Forever. That's something to be proud of in my opinion. 10 Quote
Muda69 Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 The signs in Burlington celebrating Carroll's 1995 state title were up for at least 20 years. Not sure if they are there currently, I drive enough thru that small town I don't pay much attention anymore. Quote
Frozen Tundra Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 Forever. Milan has a sign and a water tower celebrating their 1954 boys basketball state championship. Wingate still has a sign up celebrating their 1913 and 1914 boys basketball state championships. Those towns will celebrate that forever and I have no problem if other cities or towns want to celebrate the accomplishments of their local high school(s) forever too. 4 Quote

Basementbias Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 Forever! I like how some OH places have championships on the left & runner ups on the right. Heck I'd put up any for any extra curricular activities. Put those FFA, band, dance/cheer, and etc up. Have a 4H state fair Grand champ, put a sign in their yard. I'm all about celebrating the success of our communities in many facets. 3 Quote
Daniel_Bragg Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 Sheridan has the years of every football state title painted on a water tower. Forever is the answer to this question. 2 Quote
BDGiant93 Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 Wingate still touts their 1913 and 1914 State Basketball Championships Quote

I think in parts of Spencer County there are Heritage Hills 2000 State Champ signs still up, not sure if they've added a 2024 sign yet. Edited October 1, 2025 by HereComesTheBoom Quote
