Cowboysfan03 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 The teams, I would definitely say to look out for that potentially be dangerous. This year would be Lawrence Central. I think the Bears going to the toll with the likes of Warren Central and beating LN in sectionals the bears. Also have good momentum heading into next year, I would also say Warren Central the team look good last year by beating the likes of Ben Davis, LC and Central Grove, and making it to semi state Quote

Throw the Hot Dogs in there with them in 4A. As long as they have a weiner dog on the sidelines every game named Frank or Oscar. The year of the cinderella stories. 2 Quote

The green tie however is magic. 3 Quote
superjay Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Not really a sleeper but a school with no real tournament success is Riverton Parke. They had South Putnam on the ropes last year in the sectional. They return several key starters on both sides of the ball and South Putnam is 2A now. Look for RP to make a run. Quote
BDGiant93 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 If Brett Cooper can pull the Giants back together, Ben Davis should be strong. They have good talent returning on offense. The defense was not the Giants' strongpoint, but lots will depend on who Coach hires and puts in place. The Giants have potential to surprise some folks next year and at least get back on the other side of .500. Quote

Any Lawrence Central people on here know when that process begins? Quote
BLACKGOLD2007 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Penn returns a lot of threats on Offense. They will be a tough out barring any injuries this coming season. Quote

It doesn't matter who they bump down, Indianapolis Chatard will be back in 3A so that team doesn't stand a chance. Although maybe Cascade can beat them, they bring back a lot. 1 Quote

Including starters: QB, FB, one wing, both WRs, TE, I believe at least 2 OLmen, Both MLBs, 1 safety, both CBs, NG, 2 OLBs/DEs all graduate... 19 seniors graduate... Farmer and Turner both return.. Expect Turner to move to MLB and FB.. Farmer will be a Safety/wing. They also got a transfer in from Tri-West that is a QB. Quote

Could've sworn a large chunk of their yards came from underclassman, but I was very wrong. Other than the Farmer kid a lot of them are gone. Thank you for the correction. So no, no one is beating Chatard more than likely. Gibson Southern have any nice pieces coming back. Maybe them or Memorial give them a run for their money. Quote

23andCounting Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Fort Wayne South Side: One win in 2023. Two wins in 2024. Three wins in 2025. South Side is a work in progress and Andre Goodwell seems to have them progressing. Played solid football last season against Homestead, Dwenger, North Side, and Luers. Quote

I didnt know who would replace Chatard in 4a south or if anyone would get bumped up from the south to take their spot. Thats crazy work if the two flip spots, a southern 4a team becomes a northern 3a team..seems like more work compared to taking two teams from each rather than reinventing the wheel, yet as you say, IHSAA gets what it wants. That I couldn't tell you, I just meant they are flipping spots in 3A and 4A. With the realignment year, who knows how the IHSAA will draw it up. Luers will definitely be in 4A North but Chatard could go either way Quote
oldtimeqb Posted February 19 Posted February 19 If I were a betting man (and I am not) I would think Chatard goes 3A south. Last year all 4 north sectionals had 8 teams, while 3 of the south sectionals only had 7. Also, Hamilton Heights, Guerin, and Crawfordsville were south last year. I can’t imagine that many teams shuffled between classes to move them north. And don’t forget by unwritten rule Guerin and Chatard have to be in the same sectional - so I don’t see both moving north 1 Quote
Justasportsfan Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Anyone know who might be bumped down from 4a north? Quote
