  1. I was never offered the position. I was asked to be on the interview committee and I declined. My exact quote was "You guys did a pretty good job last time around. Find us another Dave Sharpe!"

  4. Don't think its fair to put Coach Good in the @DT crosshairs just because Crown Point hired Coach Buzea The article clearly stated that CP was the only job in NWI that he would leave for. The 2 are not connected in any way and any conjecture to link the two is just plain silly.

  7. Whiting oilers open enrollment they can draw from Hammond and EC with clark closing down robertsdale kids could play at whiting instead of commenting to new Hammond school gentrification could have more Illinois middle class families move in i haven’t been in the loop the past couple years but not sure what the issue is but by watching they are lacking numbers and size. So it’s like chicken and egg question are numbers low because the coaching driving kids away or are there only a certain amount of dedicated kids that want to play?

  8. Here's a good Bears factoid to highlight the geniuses at Halas Hall. The Bears chose Mark Trestman over Bruce Arians in 2013 because Bruce wouldn't take part in a silly mock Press Conference as part of the interview process. Trestman agred and the rest is history.

  10. Yeah, me neither. I immediately though of the Tennessee game last year when the deficit was much larger. Meh. 9 point deficit is chump change to the KC offense.

  11. An example - haven't heard this (below) on any morning or evening news channels.....But you sure get a play-by-play action on the events in DC. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9183231/Antifa-protesters-descend-Tacoma-cops-ran-man.html More than 200 Antifa protesters reportedly descended on Tacoma, Washington, where they busted the windows of buildings and set fires in the streets on Sunday, just a day after wreaking havoc in Portland. Video footage and images showed broken glass scattered on the sidewalk outside of businesses and graffiti sprayed on the side of buildings. Protesters started at least two fires in the area using a barricade for one and an American flag for the other. Dozens of Tacoma police officers were seen lined up on bikes as protesters approached them. Late Sunday night, Tacoma police declared an 'unlawful assembly' as crowds continued to march through the streets protesting the department after an officer was see running over a man on Saturday. https://mynorthwest.com/2493972/rantz-seattle-council-activists-pretend-antifa-riot-didnt-happen/ The Seattle City Council and area activists are pretending the Antifa riot on inauguration night didn’t happen. In other words, they’re responding the way they normally do to Antifa violence: with total silence. Their dubious observations of the Antifa riot is a mix of delusion, scary justification, and strategic downplaying.

  12. I could not care less about Rodgers failing to make another SB, but kind of sad to see ISU product Robert Tonyan miss the the big dance.

  13. Simple - Riots/looting/protests/burning city blocks literally in every big city in the US all summer long with nary a second look. One day's run on the capital (that was over at precisely 6:00 pm, and everyone went home) and we hear about it endlessly while the elitists in DC call up 25,000 troops to protect them from people like us.......

  14. CP's never going to dominate Merrillville and Valparaiso. Those are football powers. The Bulldogs beat Merrillville for sectional titles in 2016, 2017 and 2018 but they certainly didnt dominate them. I just dont think there's any comparison between Crown Point and suburban Indianapolis. And my larger point is that when the season begins, all teams in all sports wat to win the sectional. More realistic for some than for others but realistic for all. You win your conference or your sectional most every year (and send some kids to college at ANY level) and you have a 100% success program. You do not need to win state for your program to be great.

  15. You can fact check me. In the eyes of the IHSAA there is no such thing as "undue influence" (recruiting) below grade 9.
