  4. Park Tudor hasn’t won a sectional since 2005. They had a good year last year for program standards. Improving? Yes. Rising rapidly? Chill.

  5. Great team win.....solid pitching, great defense, and I really liked seeing them play small ball most of the game, moving guys on bases and putting the ball in play. I also think the umpire crew deserves some props; great defensive plays by both teams and I believe the reviews were called right in each case.

  6. I played in MO under a 1.5 multiplier. As a HS student, it never even entered my mind that we were "playing up"....it seems to be more of a fan/parent/now social media thing.

  8. A huge reason why LCC has been a premier program in the state for years. Its about culture, and that starts young and it continues on when people that have graduated from the program wish to come back and continue to invest. Yes, its about a feeder, but it beyond the feeder...its the level of involvement and the expectation for success that develops within the community. That is why I contend, there are a number of variables when it comes to sustained successful HS programs....and its way more than $$ and enrollment. As FB16 has stated and proven, those 2 variables by themselves do not guarantee success.

  9. Like everything in life, it's cyclical and eventually will balance itself out. You had NE Indiana 3 peat in 2000, 2001,& 2002. Sheridan, LCC, & Pioneer have had their runs. Now it's beginning to be Indy parochials vs Adams County schools. It's been fun even if the results haven't went in our (Adams County) favor. Just going to enjoy 1A football while it's in Adams County. I'm sure AC will be 2A in the next cycle and with new programs South Adams could end up back in 2A at some point.

  10. You know absolutely nothing about the perches I have sat on in my career. Very ignorant statement. I do have a couple of big fat rings from lofty perches but I have also been among the worst teams in the state. Football is good for kids in high school. Even bad programs. I have no clue why you keep bringing it up. What a horrible way to look at life.... you aren't good so quit trying. Maybe you played once upon a time but you seem to have missed the point of high school athletics. I usually scroll past your nonsense but I think its important to speak out toward nonsense from time to time. If you quit posting today about your lunatic proposal that ADs across the state should stand up an listen no one would miss them. Its a dumb idea you made up.

  11. While he may have a lofty perch, you seem to have two perches? I’m so confused about the DT/HHF dynamic.

  13. That the cluster system, or it’s various permutations, was actually a “cluster ****” is not a reason to reject a “top 1/2” qualification format. In fact, the IHSAA had the right idea, but the implementation was poor. Not enough teams in the playoffs. In a “top half” system, that problem goes away. In a nutshell, if you can’t rate in the top 50% of your class, you don’t deserve to play for a state title.

  15. No one is equating Dwenger to Cathedral. We know that Dwenger is built from the ground up...........kudos to them. I agree with DT that we need a multiplier for the private schools. Ninety percent of a private school's population is privy to the kind of training that only 50% of students at a public school can afford. It's easy to preach "stop whining and bitching" when your school is stockpiling trophies at the expense of underprivileged competition. In all fairness, a public school that is rated highly in terms of socioeconomic status should also be given the multiplier treatment.
