A team scores 83 points and it’s not even going to make @Muda69run it up thread? Travesty4 points

Aceswild- ask and you shall receive! Here we are with another exciting week of NLC gridiron action. Let's preview some games while I have some time here between daliances! Mishawaka @ Warsaw- Most meaningful game of the evening in regards to hopes of being able to catch Concord for the NLC title race (at least between 2 preseason contenders). Similar styles offensively, but I think that Mishawaka's skill positions are more explosive than Warsaw's. My curiousity stems around the mindset of Warsaw's response to last weekend's loss. Mishawaka has won the last two in this matchup. If you would have said 3 weeks ago that Warsaw could be below .500 in October, there would have been some money to be won. Northwood @ Plymouth- Coming off a HUGE moral victory last week (and covering the spread according to Coach Andrews), Northwood finds itself in a game they probably didn't view as important 3 weeks ago. They are another team facing a chance to dip below .500 in the month of October. On another note- Plymouth hasn't beaten Northwood since 2014 when John Barron was stalking the sidelines with crusted dip spit in the corners of his mouth! (Nate Andrews' first season BTW). Wawasee (1-5) @ Northridge (1-5)- You all know what this battle is for. To be fair, Northridge, according to Sagarin ratings are indeed the highest rated 1-5 team in 4A. This edges out the other contenders: Muncie Central, Fort Wayne South, "On A Winning Streak" Wawasee, Shelbyville, Evansville Central, Bedford North Lawrence, Highland, Charlestown, East Chicago. However, a win for Northridge puts them into the 2-5 category which gets teams that are currently 2-4 involved such as FW Dwenger and Pendelton Heights! Lots to pay attention to on this first Friday in October! Good luck to all involved! Ben Davis (1-5) @ Carmel- See above. Goshen @ Concord: See meme below: Good luck to all! Stay/get healthy and we will see you down the home stretch!!!2 points

Elkhart being ranked ahead of Fishers and Carroll is ridiculous and Plainfield being ranked ahead of Decatur Central after Decatur beat them by 21 points is ridiculous.2 points

Report from RP junior high game tonight. RP 38 SV 0. SV declined playing a B game allegedly citing weather conditions as it was too sunny and no clouds.2 points

I'll be heading to Camp Randall Stadium to see Purdue take on the Feral Rodents. Purdue, as we all know, is having a very dismal season but UW isn't exactly lighting the league on fire. Purdue's defense looked great for three quarters against Nebraska...then reality set in (along with a multitude of penalties). Wisconsin managed to blow a huge halftime lead against USC in the Colosseum. If Purdue can hold UW's run game to under 250 yards and if the offense shows any signs of life, Bucky will prevail 24-10. If not, 48-7. Good thing I have a hotel because beer is now served at the stadium.1 point

The ball was a foot or more away from the receiver right as he hit the ground. It was a terrible call.1 point

They threw 2 interceptions in the first half. I do not believe they've thrown 1 pass in the 2nd half.1 point

Columbus East - 7 5A #6/9 Bloomington North - 7 halftime. A very good first half by East, they might not win this game but they continue to get better each week.1 point

DT doesn't solve anything. He just throws stuff against the wall to see what will stick, then yells at anyone who disagrees with him. He's absolutely the worst person to "follow."1 point

Assuming it is all good because from my memory, it's about the quarter rule. Quarter rules start Friday to Thursday. So if games have not been played on Friday or Saturday, then Monday it is. Gives 3 days off before next contest and believe to be ok under these unforeseeable issues weather wise1 point

Exactly my thought as well. I feel I can at least give an opinion on a coach because I sat in room with him, listened to him speak, then researched some more of him and came away impressed with his program building success, his offensive schemes, and his off season intensity. TEMP reads a quote and formed all these stereotypes...... that's okay too, just will laugh at him for it. Fun laugh, not mean laugh for the record.1 point

Tough. tough game between 2 excellent programs. This has turned into a heck of a series over the years. Glad they are not clobbering each other last game of the season. Awesome venue to play ball....going to be a nice evening for all!!1 point

That is the correct enforcement. If the opponent fouls during a play in which a TD is scored, the offended team has the option of having the DPI enforced either on the try or the succeeding kickoff.1 point

Awe, I met his mom once when I went to a Rensselaer basketball game with John Igoe. (Johnny's senior year). Got a lot of love for the Igoes, Addrian and the Malones! (Talk to Andrew/allisons mom about twice a month!)1 point

Come on Temp!!! To compare Prime to Cignetti is utterly ridiculous. His google me comment was to to say he was and has been winner at every level he has been. Prime says it because his ego is bigger than Grand Canyon. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. Cignetti does not promote himself over his players like Prime, does not throw his players under the bus to shift blame from himself like Prime, does not strongly encourage or force his players out of the program like Prime, does not brag to the media daily like Prime, I mean, I can go on and on.1 point

FYI if you are going to the Madison-Grant game, not only is their homecoming but the Boy's Tennis Sectional Championship game starts at 6pm. So the parking lot will be packed and please don't drive thru people watching the tennis match.1 point

I was at the Louisville game. Both played many meaningful snaps and acquitted themselves well. Bowen is going to be very good.1 point

Agreed. The sign stealing thing was a bigger deal than any Michigan fan wants to lead on, but to their point everybody does it to an extent, most just aren't dumb enough to get caught. But it's the blatant arrogance and lack of cooperation that rubbed me the wrong way. The recruiting infractions that occurred during COVID were petty, slap on the wrist type infractions. Yet Harbaugh wants to act like a dumba** and act like nothing happened and it's what got him a 4 year ban. Kirk Ferentz committed the same level of infraction, admitted and reported it, and took his punishment like a man. This is what leadership looks like. “I frequently tell our players to abide by the rules, and in this instance, I did not,” Ferentz said in a statement. “In 26 years as head coach at Iowa, — and more than four decades as a coach — this is my first potential Level II NCAA infraction. I made a mistake and would like to apologize to our players, University leadership, and our Hawkeye football fans. I know Coach Budmayr echoes those sentiments.” https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5716016/2024/08/22/kirk-ferentz-jon-budmayr-iowa-coaching-suspension/1 point

DeBoer won 3 national titles in 5 years at NAIA Sioux Falls. There are great coaches at every level of football as Coach alluded. Sometimes the path to getting to the highest level takes longer for some than others. Cignetti and DeBoer are two examples of just absolute winners who haven't taken the path of least resistance to get where they are today. Coaches like Bo Ryan and John Beilein spent years in the D2/D3 ranks before succeeding at the highest level.1 point

A whole 5.8 miles south. That’s 30,624 feet south of Rockville. Friday’s forecast for the local games in Parke/Vermillion/Putnam counties at 7pm is 75 degrees, partly cloudy, 5% chance of rain and 5% chance of a request to delay a game.1 point

I'm not a weather man, never wanted to be. I just know some of the games I've seen in my lifetime were in the same, if not worse conditions that were present on Friday. But in related news, I came across on X the RP-SV JV score from this past Monday night... RP 62 SV 0 Just an anomaly or sign of things to come?1 point
