Defense wins championships.

Anyone with a brain cell knew two weeks ago that IU's two losses came to two of the top five teams in the country. Quite frankly, it might be the BEST two teams in the country. I'm not right about a lot of things, but I was right about the FACT that IU's admission to the playoffs was justified. The Hoosiers manhandled everyone not named ND and OSU, although Michigan hung in there with them.

Thoughts: 1. The SEC screwed themselves in this playoff setup their commissioner helped create. 2. F' the SEC 🙂 3. None of the teams with a bye won. 4. F' the SEC 🙂 5. The Irish and Ohio State played to win. Aggressive play calling and stealing possessions. 6. F' the SEC 🙂 7. ND penalties were all bad mistakes that should not happen. 8. F' the SEC 🙂 9. Picking ND and Ohio State next week. 10. F' the SEC 🙂 PS....oh yeah, IU belonged in the playoff. 🙂

One thing that was noticeable this game compared to the other playoff games along with multiple bowl games; there was no visible trash talking or other nonsense when tackles were made. 2 very well coached and disciplined programs.

California…due to its massive population does not have state tournaments. Schools are broken into regions, with a few classes in each, and they have tournaments just with their region. The Open Division tournament setup is simply to try to have a consensus state champ. Nothing to do with enrollment or P/P issues. California is more than 5.5x the size of Indiana. The size of a state tourney is kinda off the table unless you have 25 classes.

Some interesting scenarios to consider going into the last week of the season. Several of these are pretty healthy bonuses. Several within reach in a single game as well, especially for Evans and Smith at the top of the list.

I didn't take it bad...we align on the portal. Not a big fan of how NIL is being applied as well.

I wasn't registering a position on the portal...just providing a listing of IU portal activity. Unfortunately, its now become the norm for D1 FBS football. Would love to see a rule requiring the player to sit out a year unless his head coach left the program. Also, would love to see the portal closed until the season is fully complete.

I think it would be great for everyone involved if I were to take this role on. here is my priority list for when I become the emperor of indiana football 1. remove the mercy rule 2. add 6 more weeks of football 3. all playoff games become a best of three. 4. 1 zebra per game and he has to officiate from the parking lot

if I had to pick today who would have better teams in 2030 between CP merrillville and Penn, and Snider Carroll and Homestead I would take the latter and i wouldn't even have to think about it.

Ben Johnson will be selective to where he goes because he has such a good thing going with Detroit Issues with Ben Johnson and Joe Brady is you went down this path already with Matt Nagy, upstart OC, coming from Offensive juggernaut Chiefs....yup, he didn't bring Chiefs OL, WR or this guy at QB, but he did go to the playoffs 2 times, so there is that I guess...... Johnson has an elite OL with some awesome playmakers and Culture inside the building that was changed by an Alpha standing in front of the room. Brady has resume that stacks with anyone without HC credentials......Burrow LSU Champion, Allen, Bills, Dominating , but again, how long did it take Allen to become Allen and does Joe Brady stand in front of the room and command it? Leads me down to Mike Vrabel, fell out of love with new ownership in Tennessee, then been on sidelines.....Pats Nation are pissed that Kraft didn't get him, but instead Mayo, he would command the room, he would demand, but who runs O?
