Hey Bob,,,,as a former long time youth coach, I use to apply my old physics class with my LB's, safeties, and running backs...be the one who applies the greater force...similar to your equation, F=MA....force equals mass x acceleration. Don't be the one absorbing the force...way more painful.3 points

Pretty simple. Calculate momentum using the formula p=mv, or momentum (p) is equal to mass (m) times velocity (v). Finally got to use my high school physics. 😅😂🤣3 points

Over the years I have noticed the VL fans are definitely a lot to handle. And not in a positive way.2 points

Have you ever been to a game there? Where home fans sit on the visitor side and then instigate stuff? I’ve seen it. Makes no sense because the home side stands are half full.1 point

Yes - due to the success factor rolling 2-year accumulation as opposed to a set 2-year cycle. However - note that the changes are still for two years. Meaning, if you move up or down, you are locked in for two years into that class. https://www.ihsaa.org/sites/default/files/documents/Tournament Success Factor.pdf https://www.ihsaa.org/sites/default/files/documents/Football TSF 2024-25.pdf Moving UP next the next two seasons: - Decatur Central will move from 5A to 6A for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 seasons after accumulating 7 points the last two seasons. - New Palestine will move from 4A to 5A for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 seasons after accumulating 6 points the last two seasons. - Heritage Hills will move from 3A to 4A for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 seasons after accumulating 7 points the last two seasons. Staying UP next season: - Cathedral will stay in 6A according to the link I shared... but I don't understand why? The last two seasons in 6A, they only accumulated 1 point. The reason they were in 6A this past season is because they accumulated 3 points in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 two year cycle, but now with the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 two year cylce, they are only at 1 point, which should drop them to 5A. Can anyone confirm that I've missed something? - Fort Wayne Snider will stay in 6A for their second year of the 2-year bump up cycle. They would have to win a Semi State Championship to remain in 6A after this season. - East Central will stay in 5A for their second year of the 2-year bump up cycle. They would have to win a Regional Championship to remain in 5A after this season. They have no path to 6A. - Chatard will stay in 4A for their second year of the 2-year bump up cycle. With their Sectional Championship this year, they will need to win at least a Regional Championship this upcoming season to stay in 4A. They have no path to 5A. - Fort Wayne Bishop Luers will stay in 3A for their second year of the 2-year bump up cycle. Of note, they are now a 3A school by enrollment anyway, so will likely stay in 3A for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 seasons. However, if they win a Semi State Championship this upcoming season, they will bump to 4A for those next two seasons due to accumulating at least 6 points in 3A. - Adams Central will stay in 2A for their second year of the 2-year bump up cycle. Of note, they are now a 2A school by enrollment anyway, so will likely stay in 2A for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 seasons. However, if they win a Regional Championship this upcoming season, they will bump to 3A for those next two seasons due to accumulating at least 6 points in 2A. - Indianapolis Lutheran will stay in 2A for their second year of the 2-year bump up cycle. They would have to win a Sectional Championship to remain in 2A after this season. They could bump to 3A for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 seasons if they win a State Championship this upcoming season. - Lafayette Central Catholic will stay in 2A next season due to accumulating 3 points during the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons. They will need to win a Regional Championship this season to stay in 2A for the 2026-2027 season, otherwise they will bump back down to 1A. Dropping DOWN next season: - Evansville Memorial will be dropping down from 4A to 3A for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 seasons because they only accumulated 1 point the previous two seasons in 4A. I think that's it - please someone add/correct me if anything is wrong here.1 point

Yep...and they could have had him had they been smart and cut bait with Woodson last year.1 point

I love this hire especially seeing the success that his brother has had at GS. There will be an adjustment period and I’d think it won’t be until summer until the kids can start learning a new system. I’m interested to see who stays and who leaves from the previous coaches. Some coaches left when Lewis was hired. As far as Jasper talent goes, I’m interested to see how it shakes out. I don’t see many if any kids not playing because of play style. We had Matt Mauck as a qb and still ran the same run plays 875 times. But I could be wrong. I’m excited for a new era! Too much Budweiser in the dna. Makes ya fat and slow.1 point

Saw this one the other day... "Hey Purdue, Coach Cignetti did you a favor by getting Ryan Walters fired. Could you re-pay the favor this weekend and have Matt Painter do the same for Mike Woodson?" LOL.1 point

He did Saw link headline that Purdue is in the Black again, but they have had the self sufficient model for decades, which is all changing Also, Coach Walters house finally was completed, he built a 4.9 million dollar house, and didn't get to move in, and now has to try to sell that house for that price, in West Lafayette....... Good Luck1 point

Say I cheat you in cards and take your entire net worth and you cant prove It. When you are 16 it sucks but you'll figure it out When you're 65 it is a life altering event.1 point

momentum matters, and its easy to shake off a drive killer in the first, a lot easier to shake off than in the fourth.1 point

Coach!!! Its not total penalties.....that's easy. Its timing of the penalties called...penalties (or lack thereof) on critical 3rd down plays sustaining or killing drives...and later in the game. And its not just penalties...its non-calls, spotting of the football as we all witnessed last night, etc. Much of that is not picked up in the QUANTITY of penalties called stat. You are attempting to take the easy way out and draw a conclusion....for that my friend, I am tossing my flag and calling penalty!!1 point

I absolutely have to believe at a point that the moderators don't agree with me and let me post anyways. I mean I wrote a story about forcing referees to go to the bar to get berated by an angry mob after football games. (its a good idea fight me)1 point

Disgusting When I first read the Cali story and the coach quoted on saying to the team, wanna make headllines....or something to that effect..... Lame1 point

I subscribe to to the NFL is rigged and the officials are in on it narrative. And it currently because of two words: Taylor Swift. https://www.sportico.com/personalities/people/2024/taylor-swift-effect-nfl-attendance-girls-social-marketing-1234798352/1 point

OR BETTER YET Have enough guts to to have a conversation with Coach Barron about all the issues you have with him as a person and coach. I know its easier to air your percieved grievances under the hidden screen name. Classic1 point

It has NOTHING to do with the "beliefs of the moderators". Had we allowed what you wanted to have done, after the charges had been dropped, we would have been exposed to legal action on his part. Go to the facebook fans page to drag his name through the mud. It's not happening here. Is it REALLY that difficult to comprehend?1 point
