The Hawkeyes brought too many on that last IU TD. Sarratt caught the ball and had only one defender to beat, and he did. Honestly, it's a mark of a good team to find a way to win when they're not playing their best. Next up for the Hoosiers is Oregon, on the road.1 point

Disappointed to pull up this thread and not see any comments saying there should be 5 more teams from the region inside the top 25. Best part of visiting this thread every week and listening to the reasoning behind it.1 point

#2, I can only imagine they'll be ready to dump some points on Ben Davis. Kevin Wright's last appearance against the Giants didn't go so well after the 17-0 start. #3, Center Grove just gets it done. Must be something to that old formula they have down there. They just keep doing it. #8, Boy, Warren feels like they should be one of the top teams. They're certainly better on offense than they were last year and have some players on defense. When Warren fans are saying that Pike got robbed, then Pike got robbed. That was one of the worst missed calls I've seen in maybe 15-16 years...maybe back to that Carmel/Warren state game. I get that officials are human and make mistakes. It's hard to see what that official was watching, but I'm sure he feels horrible. Usually those guys and gals are hardest on themselves when they know they messed up. By the way, Is Pike playing a backup QB? I know Lewis was hurt against BD.1 point

It was very obvious watching on TV when they were blitzing and there seemed to be no adjustments to what Iowa was doing. Granted, Iowa has the best defense the Hoosiers have seen this year, but it seemed that pressure affected the IU offense more than it should have. Reminded me of the 2 losses IU had last year1 point

Having seen both Southport and Terre Haute North play, it looked to me that the Cardinals are just a thin hair better than the Patriots and the game will be at Southport. The Panthers played their starters just in the first half against Southport with a running clock to start the 2nd half. The subs and JV players (in the 4th for the JV) taking over in the 2nd half and it was the JV squad that scored the only TD by either team in the 2nd half. South's starting running back Braylen Townsend came up gimpy on a run out of bounds in the Terre Haute South game last week and he sat out the game last night. Hopefully, he will be ready to go at Columbus North next weekend.1 point

Great win for the Hoosiers, but the blitz pickup and recognition was poor. With Cooper and Sarrat and having 1 on 1 coverage, the opportunities were there and finally they got the big play at the end of the game. Better get lots of film work cuz it gets harder in 2 weeks at Oregon. 20 points will not get it done at Oregon1 point

Mannnnnnn....tough game in a tough place to play. Nice to come away with the win. IU never really adjusted to the blitzing that Iowa was doing until that last TD play.1 point

Thanks. But I’m sure you agree that view doesn’t shed much light on the call. However, I notice that the Hudl video has been shared to the IFOA library. I hope to get a chance to look at it later today.1 point

Out of Fort Wayne - I deemed the Dwenger/Northrop game over when the Saints went up 18-6. No way were the Bruins coming back against this defense with just one quarter to play. Northrop gets a long kickoff return and Dwenger turns the ball over twice in their own redzone on their next two possession. Saint's had the SAC title in the bag and gave it away. 4A North still goes through East Noble or Dwenger with Mishawaka lurking. I still like East Noble as the norths best option to win all of 4A........anyone who thinks this isn't possible with New Pal out of the way is in a state of denial. Carroll will battle ferociously with Crown Point for the right to play Carmel, but the Greyhounds will probably be a heavy favorite in that game. 5A still belongs to New Pal...........no ifs, ands, or buts. It's a shame we'll never know how this team would do in this year's 6A tournament.1 point

Hats off to both teams, and congrats to the Titans. As a fan, you couldn’t ask for a better game to watch. Ultimately, the Patriots couldn’t get a stop when they had to have one. Both teams got better tonight!1 point

Well, I can't change the heading of this thread by editing it. So, I'll just let everyone know that Cathedral escaped with a 32-28 win over Trotwood Madison. The Irish held a 25-6 lead after 3 quarters and then gave up 22 unanswered points to go behind 28-25 with 1:37 left in the game. The Irish then drove the field and scored the winning TD with 16 seconds left. It was a barnburner to say the least. Hats off to a very good Trotwood Madison Ram team! More in the morning. I'm worn out!1 point

Yes sir, Lowell Beats Hobart tonight in a great close game. Lowell got the right man in McKim. What is that 4 wins in a row by Mckim over Hobart? It sort of interesting that some of the NP people here gave him no credit for the success NP had, and now that NP has fallen off the cliff , argue it has nothing to do with Mckim. You can just see it in the style of play and the culture of the teams the difference he has made. Should be an interesting matchup with Andrean1 point

I’m unaware of such a rule. But it’s something that’s decided above the officials’ pay grade. So, there’s no particular reason I would know whether such a rule existed.1 point

I've witnessed a few games at the Allen County Coliseum back in the day, late 1970's and early 1980's, after the Racers were folded in December 1978. I enjoyed the atmosphere up there and I'm sure the enthusiasm is the same now as it was then. Hockey is an incredible game to watch, especially in person!1 point

I would have bet that the Badgers would be at the top of the heap and not conservative spenders. Anyway, it's sure good to be back again!1 point
