  1. Congrats to Coach Scott Cronk and to the Cronk family. Coach Cronk has been instrumental in our run here at Lafayette Jeff over the last 11 years. His players are going to be extremely tough and play extremely hard each and every time they stop onto the field. Go Patriots!

  2. You know that ThePrince will keep the WRC threads full of and updated with The King’s love. Donnie, do you know what The King said to ThePrince as he left FC for BC? … … … Bye-Son.

  4. There is a large area of undeveloped land near the 94/65 interchange....not sure it would be big enough to put a stadium in. This could possibly bring Gary back from the grave. Anyone who says that neighborhood is too bad for a stadium....hasn't spend much time outside a White Sox game

  5. The good news is, per Cody, they won't even have to travel to scout #1 draft picks.

  6. It’s fitting that a QB going to Notre Dame is good at the “Hail Mary” pass. 😅😂🤣

  13. I don’t know much about that area. It’s near the I-94/Broadway interchange. Historically, it’s been underwater a lot due to its proximity to the Little Calumet River. They have done a lot of flood control improvements to the Little Cal in the last 10 yrs. or so. So, the Governor is an athletic supporter. 😉

  17. When you're 13-0 and have beaten Ohio State on a neutral field, the rest of the schedule becomes a moot point. I can get on board with that.

  19. Eh, two of those teams were Boise State and Arizona State. Oregon got buzz-sawed the same way that Tennessee did by Ohio State, and Georgia never looked rusty against ND. I’m not sure the byes had much to do with it, at least not based on one year’s worth of results.

  22. I believe what you are looking for is the "butterfly effect". You could play on a completely different turf field and that play would probably never happen due to alterations in the timeline having a ripple effect on the events that follow. So in a way you saying that this game would have had the same outcome on any turf field and not the one they played at isn't the greatest argument either lol.

  24. The unwillingness of Merrillville to provide tax abatement incentives is what has prevented White from redeveloping that land, but the site is only 40 acres. Not even close to what a stadium facility would require, let alone the surrounding development thr Bears want to do. The Arlington site was 326 acres.

  26. On the other hand, the Illinois Legislature has proved they are very capable of screwing this up. One big question for the Bears ought to be “which place will have the most politicians with their hands out, Illinois or Indiana?”

  27. Yes. Mr. Warren in his statement says this isn't about "leverage" but he's lying.

  28. So far, only 3 Irish have announced their intention to enter the transfer portal when it opens Jan. 2: 2nd string QB Kenny Minchey, preferred walk-on QB Anthony Rezac, and oft-injured backup CB Chance Tucker. Minchey is a good player. Rezac hasn’t seen any action in his 2 years at ND. Tucker played some in 2023, but was out all of 2024 with an ACL, and broke his fibula early in 2025.

  29. The Bears Arlington Heights property is 326 acres. But only about 100 acres is for the stadium facility, with the rest being developed for mixed use retail surrounding the stadium. I’m struggling to find a site like that in NWI that’s a reasonable distance from downtown Chicago. For comparison purposes, Gillette Stadium is 27 miles from Boston. Jerry’s World is 18 miles. from downtown Dallas. The 49ers play in Santa Clara, which is 43 miles. from downtown SF. As far as crossing state lines, Met Life Stadium is in New Jersey, about 14 mi. from downtown NYC. The Giants/Jets are the only ones with stadiums in a different state, unless you count the Commanders, whose stadium is in Landover, MD, which is about 12 mi. from downtown Washington, DC. The intersection of I-65 and US 30 in Lake County is about 30 mi. from the Loop. The Bears’ Arlington Heights site is just about the same distance from the Loop. So, is this real? Or, are the Bears just trying to light a fire under the Illinois Legislature with this talk of going to Indiana?

  30. Is this a real question?! What makes King so legendary is the impact he has on a program. Before Herb took over at FC they were a combined 4-23. The four years he was at FC they were 20-21. Is that great? Well its a heck of a lot better than 4-23. He takes struggling teams (most the time the worst in the state) and he turns them into competitive teams. If we look at Sagarin Ratings at the past couple schools he's been at Seeger in 2015 before he got there was a 12.61 / his last year 56.03 FC in 2021 before King they were 25.52 / his last year 50.27 Those are huge increases! and it takes him only a couple of years to get these teams competitive. Benton Central was a -.17 (yes that's a negative) this year. If the trend continues BC will be at least 30 points better next season. Again can anyone tell me where I can find some BC Bison gear?????

  31. Like I stated, if the price is right they'll play in an exhibition game If not, the agents are poaching them and getting them out of the schools into the portal No guardrails Wild Wild West Sad

  32. Other than Kenny Minchey, I haven’t heard of anyone going to the portal. But it doesn’t open for ND players until Jan. 2, and stays open until the 16th.

  34. IU took some grief for their non conference schedule. Old Dominion won their bowl game last night comfortably over South Florida…USF ranked in top 25 much of the season. ODU finished season 10-3. Kennesaw State is also 10-3 and plays their bowl game Friday night. Maybe those 2 teams not the patsies everyone made them out to be…..

  40. This actually makes a lot of sense. Honestly you could make a good case for prying Frankfort away from the MAC, add Delphi and you've got a decent 7 team league.

  41. I remember what a novelty that turf seemed like on a high school field. Now, it's the norm in the bigger classes. Weird how times change so fast. I miss the old Ben Davis grass field. They used to maintain it so meticulously.

  42. I’m taking my sources over yours WRC. -Why did King need to go? Ended the season out scoring the Wolves 150-0 and had a winning record with an injury plagued squad. People think they can coach until they have to buddy up to the headset! -Crabtree is going to a 3A darkhorse who might end up being a huge 5A program in the near future. -Earl isn’t leaving NV, Marty Brown promised the NV legend the world to come back. Gotta apply and interview incase all hell breaks loose. Is Earl calling the o or d under Crabtree? Is he the most hyped hire in a long long time? -Austin Petrillo is coaching at SMWC, someone needs to find him a teaching job and get him on their staff best leader I have ever coached. Amazing young man. -One thing I think we all overlook in this conference is the importance in having a good staff. It’s not about calling plays. If you aren’t fundamentally sound, it doesn’t matter how fancy your play calling is. Nowhere yet, but I know from a credible source he’s getting calls and I’m prettt sure he’s an empty nester now, time for a move and make one final run in the flip flops!

  43. Good advice. However, just to clear up any possible understanding, the high school rules do not call for an automatic unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for removing the helmet while on the field, as is the case at some other levels.
