I don't like seeing it either, but unfortunately, if you look at the top 12 at this point, I firmly believe IU was going to be left out going into today. Sucks that this had to happen to build their case to be in.

Purdue has every opportunity to compete if they choose too, tonight.   The players were put in positions to not succeed and then they players said nope......hence the fumbles in cold weather game with very little contact

IU completely dominated Purdue to the point that Purdue quit in the 2nd quarter. That is an indictment of a team that has no fight or will to compete. When that happens, the coach has to go. Inept does not begin to describe the Purdue offense…

Dude, big difference, Purdue quit in the 2nd quarter, kept turning the ball over deep in their own territory, and couldn’t tackle for crap. Indiana played until the end against Ohio State. Day got his just due against Michigan yesterday…

I wish IU weren’t on the borderline of making the CFP and Purdue is so bad, they had to win by a large margin so they don’t lose votes…tough place to be…

Incorrect statement….Cignetti said nothing about Day punching it in. He actually stated Day has to do what’s best for his team. Go back and read the quotes from Cignetti.

Very good teams? Those are few and far between this year? That's why I think IU was locked in with a 10 point win over the Boilermakers.

Man, they deserve to host a playoff game. Not their fault that both teams in the national championship game last year both were mediocre this year, Michigan and Washington. As long as they host a game, would love to see them play Notre Dame or Georgia.

Well, I think Notre Dame is pretty much locked into the #5 spot and I don't see IU falling to #12.  Of course I could see UGA losing to Texas on Saturday and falling to the 7-8-9 slot which makes a matchup with IU possible.

Hate to be that guy but unless they draw and SMU or the non p4 squad, I see them being significant underdogs to whomever they play.

They've been proving people wrong all year Temp. I know you're a believer in transitive property, as am I..............both of us to a reasonble extent. Indiana passes with flying colors in that category. 

Indiana waxed Nebraska, whereas Ohio State struggled agasint them. 

Indiana beat Michigan at home, Ohio State failed to do so. Rivalry game, I get that. But I can assure you that Michigan didn't come into the IU game half asleep. They don't want to lose to their "lessor" neighbor to the south. 

IU also beat UCLA, Michigan State, and Purdue by wider margins than Oregon did. 

I'm not saying Indiana will get past the first round, it's 50/50 more than likely. But this is a team that better be taken seriously. If Rourke is on his game, all bets are off. I might just head to the sports book right now.
