Future Pairings for the semi’s

SECTIONAL 32 [BRACKET]
Evansville Memorial [8-0] at Mount Vernon (Posey) [4-4]
or Evansville Mater Dei [7-1] at Mount Vernon (Posey) [4-4]
or Evansville Mater Dei [7-1] at Southridge [6-2]
or Southridge [6-2] at Evansville Memorial [8-0]
Vincennes Lincoln [3-5] at Heritage Hills [7-1]
or Princeton [1-7] at Heritage Hills [7-1]
or Princeton [1-7] at Gibson Southern [6-2]
or Gibson Southern [6-2] at Vincennes Lincoln [3-5]

Memorial fans should be routing for Mt. Vernon over Southridge. With at Mt.Vernon in Round 2, it would then put a HH matchup (or anyone else) at the friendly confines of Enlow Field for the championship. Should want that home field advantage since Memorial is such an underdog.

I don't see that happening. Southridge blew out North Posey, who beat Mt. Vernon 35-28.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see MtV play SR much closer than NP did. I expect SR to win by a couple scores but maybe not running clock

Heard Memorial at Mater Dei will be Saturday at 11am, so is it brunch or breakfast tailgate?

I’m going to say breakfast tailgate unless the game was at like 1 pm.

What is the reason for moving to Saturday?  Field availability?

That's what I heard from a pretty good source. Reitz plays at home Friday and Coach Goebel did not want to play at Central, North or Enlow (LOL) - all 3 are open on Friday. I'm actually a little surprised. I prefer Saturday myself. It is hard for fans to have a proper tailgate when the games start at 6:30.

A sunrise from atop Reitz Hill is probably beautiful. .

Definitely better for the fans, IMO!  I kind of enjoyed the move to Saturday due to the hurricane a few weeks ago.  We got college football earlier that afternoon and more football that evening.  I've also heard how important not losing a day of prep for the next round is, so I'm a little surprised too.

Most definitely, personally, I haven’t heard anything about Saturday, but it seems like nothing is official yet.

I want my breakfast tailgate!

Me too. I'm bummed. I was already planning a Bloody Mary Mother of God bar, hashbrowns, sausage links from Old Fashioned and pancakes. Now I guess it'll just be Busch Lights and hotdogs on Friday...

Good news is that the game will be at 7 pm if it is on Friday. A little bit more time to get there instead of rushing and heading out. However, breakfast tailgate sounds a lot better…

Never been a fan of breakfast for dinner. Not sure why really.

MD/Memorial game is officially at Central next Friday. Game time on MaxPreps shows 6:30 pm, but John Harrell has it at 7:00 pm.

I would tend to believe the Maxpreps.  It did say 7pm previously and was updated to 6:30pm.  I think Maxpreps is controlled by school affiliated people.  Harrell sometimes lags on the updates and I think 7pm was more of an initial default common start time state wide.

Back in the day...our parents & west siders, in general, were allegedly fans of viewing the moonlight and the submarine races from atop Reitz Hill but that is probably a topic for a different forum and audience.  Notice, I said "allegedly"... not pointing fingers here! 😳

Allegedly I have also heard the submarine races are best viewed from atop Reitz Hill.
